The 6695 refers to the number of SS's made, each one being unique to various options.

Like in Leo's case his car is #6695 of X. I don't know how man SS's were produced in '00. My car was #1943 of X in '01

according to tatertots chart, there were 226 black hardtop M6s made in 2000....that makes me happy

if you get a DA as in dual-action polisher, they are the "safe" ones.. the other ones are burn paint more easily because of their higher power. The DA I bought was a porter cable and it works great.. It's pretty fool proof because of it being a "DA" polisher. The DA ones rotate and change their position in an orbital motion so then it doesnt sit on one spot of the paint for very long. Also, it will stop spinning if you are applying too much pressure.
