I might be wrong but I thought other where telling him he could but I didn't hear him saying anything about her getting government money just people telling him it's there. Also girls use to be married and with kids at 18 back in the day so this isn't too bad and I can't quit call him a kid age doesn't mean much he's about to graduate college and is making middle class money for his area which most people can't say. Keep your head straight kid and print what you've said your going to do and read it everyday you won't forget it when times get hard.

Alot of really good points have been brought up. I just want to put in a few of my thoughts. Get rid of the maybes, should, possible things as much as you can. Should is what got you in this situation, and if I were to be a parent I would not want to gamble on m child's happiness and wellfare.

One option to consider is join the military. Especially if you are good enough to make it into one of the services where you are a civilian in uniform. If you two get married it will help pay for alot, including schooling, and get you a decent income.

@ 17, you need to talk to your parents. You do not have the wisdom to take on this challenge alone.

Girls at that age can be screwey, not saying your GF definitly is. Girls do get pregnant on purpose to trap you. Sory, but reallity bites. Especially if you are going away to college. Paternity test is probably a very good Idea. Talk to your parents as soon as possible. I know it's hard, but they definitly have the life experience you lack.
