Be serious. They don't have great acceleration at any time. They have decent pick up in a straight line, but nothing to write home about.

A GOOD driver can leave one if they have a better car and can drive to its potential. You would be surprised how many can't.

How many don't get away because they have more car than they can drive. They end up wrecking.

But in all fairness, some cops can't drive either. Seen that firsthand as well.

I personally would never run. A speeding ticket or time in jail for that matter isn't worth wrecking my car, killing somebody, killing myself. It's only money! I'm not rich but I'd rather pay than :suicide:

In the meantime I'll enjoy all the stories posted on this and similar threads. That "Getaway Stories" thread is classic! Exciting stuff no doubt, but I'm happy to say I have nothing to contribute to those threads.

About 6 months ago I was going thru a town that is natorious for speed traps. I was peeding and knew I was going to get a speeding ticket. I was freindly, handed him the info, actually laughed about it. I went off when he came back with a ticket for running a yield sign. How do you run a yield sign. I got pulled on morning for 90 in a 55, the cop let me go.

The only way a Crown Vic will do 140 is if you drive it off a cliff! :)

apparantly i outran the radio, but i think i got ahead fast enough and there were so many splits at the place where i lost him that he couldn't tell which way I went. Then i exited within a minute because i was going 155 and it's about 20 second per mile at that speed...

i know you know this but you're lucky!!! completely badass story to have for sure!!! i would like to do that to get that kinda rush but i dunno if i got the balls to do it:hide:

Hey ultra Z. We have the same car. Mine was kind of scary at high speed until I put konis on it. Now it's rock solid. The stockers shut off at 159-160, that's how I knew I was going that fast. ;)

Yea man there's not too many silver one's around. I haven't seen another silver one in person...I like the color too so it's cool it's rare in my area...
