No1 said that you cant run 4 ohms speakers -- rather than a Best Buy (no offense to the above poster), I would definitely find a knowledgeable friend, audio shop, or here of the forums if you want advice. Just never buy audio equip. from Best Buy, or shops unless then have some incredible deals -- shop around/online first for better prices and you will probably never end up at Best Buy.

Way wrong friend. Have you ever heard of price matching? That's kinda what we do. If you find the same equipment somewhere else for cheaper, we'll match it and give you 10% of the difference. As far as finding someone else, be it a friend or someone at a shop, we have the largest team, the most resources, and IMO the most knowledgable installers nationwide. But to each his own I guess. Thanks for the "no offense" though. None taken.

I looked around though fred, and it seems to me that you're not just a bulls**ter. Sounds like you actually know your stuff. I've just been burned buying online before I started at BBY.

IMO, BB best for warranty work if someone does not know what they are doing. If I were to choose between the larger retailer shops, I would put BB at the top -- just not as far as value. Also does depend on your particular store I guess -- I've just been disgusted by the problems I have seen from people that claim to have taken their car to CCity, BB, etc.

I did not know about price matching though -- still not the brand selection that the internet can provide, and you don't match online prices, correct?

As far as where to shop online - reputable discount dealers IMO are onlinecarstereo.com and my favorite, SonicElectronix.com.

Or you can do like I did. I asked the knowledgeable people that hang out in this forum about what equipment options there are (they all actually have Camaros and/or Firebirds) and where is a good place to get it so you can make an informed purchase wherever you buy from. That is especially true in my case, because virtually none of the vendors that I contacted knew that my Camaro had 2 ohm speakers with 2 voice coils and 4 leads, but lots of people here did.
