The suspension setup on a GT and the 01 Cobra is completely different. I rode in an 02 GT, and it does not handle as well as my Z, much less the 01 snake.
I got 295/35/18 Toyo Proxes T1R tires. They are over 10 inches wide. I know because I laid my sausage across the tire and it almost reached to the other side. ;)
