hmm were to start..dont blame music or a type of music for society..if anything blame society for that music prospering. i'm not a fan of rap alot anymore. but maybe the problem with "kids trying to be gangsta" is a lack of a role model or parents there to tell them other words so sractch that comment..then you sound like the same people that bitched at their kids and blamed kids rebelion on evlis presley(sp)..becuase lord knows it had nothing to do with them..or even the people that bitched about your precious rock..degrading society..so really you've became one of those close minded adults who think only their "good" clean music is the only way to go. I will admit that i dispise alot of this new gansta rap and the quality of music in general is and has went way! down hill. But i listen to grindcore and scremo and some rock..and people bitch about it takes no talent to scream and such..well it does and to each his own. music is not the cause..what next those damn video games are causing our youngsters to go down hill. :jerkit:

nasty your my man and all but come one...you should be understand that making something off the top of your head and flows and goes good is challening. freestyling is just like that..rythming(sp) and telling a story or "rapping" off of the top of their head takes talent..lord knows i cant. but i agree that playing guitar takes talent but alot of the metal riffs are so incredibally easy and simple ..but in general your right the best guitarist have been rock.

Glad to hear i'm not the only one that feels this way...... I like music that involves talent, which rap has none... I like "talented" rock music like led zeppelin, lynyrd skynyrd, and Jimi hendrix. And, I also listen to blues like buddy guy, stevie ray vaughan, and albert king. You gotta love it!

Rap can't touch jimi hendrix, buddy guy, and led zeppelin.

Do you know how retarded that sounds? Custom wheels have been around longer than rap has. Sure they weren't 20's but they were custom wheels. Im 100 % sure that Snoop Dogg didn't create the amp either, amps have been used in music long before rap music hit the scene. I am also 100% sure rappers didn't create head units either. Think about all these losers listening to Rap and crap hip hop music. Todays generation looks up to these rappers are so friggin stupid. Not all but a lot and I mean a lot are so uneducated and retarded that it scares me to think how bad this contributes to the downfall of society.

I don't love it, I don't hate it. it's ok, depends on the song and the language.
Most rap songs today try to outdo each other in vulgarity so I may listen a bit, but I do enjoy every now and then the 90's rap... I used to Dj on the radio back in Connecticut, I mixed it up with some rap every now and then just for the public to tune in, but most of the stuff I played was mine.. like trance, pop, euro, techno.. and mixed it live.. good stuff to get ur energy up.

Keith Moon, Hendrix,Joplin,Morrison,John Bonham, Jerry Garcia O/D'd (Some with the help of booze). Clapton in rehab countless times. And the list goes on. Extremely prominent and influential rock musicians. So blaming rap is basically the pot calling the kettle black. And as a youngin', I looked up to these folks. I don't rape, murder, or steal. I contribute to society in a positive manner.I am far from being a "Loser".
