got the metal retainer ring for the shifter boot. but didn't get the MGW in the mail this week.... very disappointed. i might need to call them and ask whats up since i haven't gotten a tracking number or anything.
New tires (Bridgestone Potenza RE760) on the original rims. What an improvement in driving it after 32K on the original tires. First time out of the garage for the year. We need more warm weather here in Michigan.

Put in new stall then had to park it due to snow. WTF
Totaled it...
Gave Spaz the stocker 10 bolt this morning. He gave me his backing plates to put on my new rear, when I get it. Just waiting for it to arrive.
adjusted my idle with the new 80mm TB. doesnt stall anymore when cold and shifted into reverse or drive. that was annoying.
Still waiting on my stuff to paint.
Had a good time cleaning out my MAF and TB today. Glad to see all the black crap come out!!
finished window motor replacement, now it's running like shit, intermittently bucking and jerking, may have got some bad gas.

Wet sanded rear quarter an passenger door.
Put the top down, cruised up the ave ( just when the local highschool got out ), jumped on Rte 21 north and put the pedal to the metal ( I mean carpet ). Sucked up about 1/2 a tank of cheap high test (from last Sept), now have to fill it with expensive hi-test (4.00 gal). Felt good, blew some of the cobwebs out of it and used up the gas with the Seafoam in it. Gotta get it detailed now, lots of little scratches and some rock chips, then find a new p/side door panel. You don't even notice the electrical tape over the crack in it. (much, LOL) :drivin:
Did the CETA mod this afternoon and now im finishing up the graphics on the air lid and putting clear on.
Pics?

Heres a shot of the lid
BMR lower a arms showed, yea theyll compliment my tubular k member nice.
FInally got my rims put on that ive been working on all winter almost :) and ordered a 6LE rear valance for the rear bumper :)
Ill make sure it fits before i fully bolt it in. hopfully mine fits good without much fitment issue.
Raynor that lid looks friggen awesome.Finished wet sanding car....:) cleaned her up nice ..nice an ready for paint. As you can see the first owner must of used the rocker panel to jack the car up,thank god it doesn`t affect the factory ground effects.Called my uncle to make sure he can`t still paint it in his works spray booth, looks good.Getting ready to prime the rear spoiler.
got my 3.73s installed, the break in period is killing me.
Drove it to work :hyper: love my car and I have just worked out all of the bugs :)
Put the top down, drove to the " Arabic college fund distribution center ", (gas station), filled the tank, 10.6 gallons, $40.00. Drove it home, put the top up and parked it! :ahh:
fixed my wiring issue with the front turn signals and changed my accessory tensioner to get rid of the squeak. next week built 4l60 and 3.73s going in.
thank you sir, i wont worry about it then, ill probably go a few thousand then change it.
if theyre installed correctly you shouldnt have problem.
maybe the next time you change your oil change it or something
Picked up tubular upper and lower control arms from the UMI booth at Carlisle yesterday. Figured I have to unbolt the lower arms to change out the K-member, so I may as well do everything at the same time.
Removed oil pump, timing chain, pulleys, intake, heads, lifters, pushrods, & cam getting ready for new install of all of them. The radiator had been removed previously and it was a bigger pain than all the rest since I needed extra hands to get it out. Cleaning up engine (old gaskets, bolt holes, etc.) this week and will start install later in week or next weekend. I'm mostly recovering from all my cuts and scratches today.
got a hood and fit it up http://i1227.photobucket.com/albums/...n/100_2294.jpg
Thanks for all the compliments on the Lid guys. I did it myself. Its got a coat of primer then 5 coats of color followed by wetsanding. The graphic is a vinyl piece i got from the WS6store. And it has 4 layers of clear on it.
Gotta do a little touch up on one of the bumper corners then Im gonna get the car cleaned up and put some pics up of the CETA mod.
Overall it wasnt really that bad. This was my first time doing something of this scope with paint. Def a learning experience and will know better next time I do something like this.
Since I haven't been able to post on here in a few days due to lack of power, gonna post what I did with my T/A for the past few days. Thursday, get all the debris cleaned up around her from the tornado, see that she made it thru with only minor scratches, then take her to the Bristol dragstrip and run her a few times, nothing impressive except for the perfect reaction time I got on my third run :D Friday: Nothing; Saturday: Drive her t-topless to a local cruise-in :) Today: Nothing
bled the brakes, took it out for a 5 mile round trip on the new rear-end
Gave her the first wash of the year! Then locked the car and low and behold the headlights popped up and closed then the clacking sound of a stripped motor gear occurred! Took out the passenger side motor, rotated the gear about 180* (where it wasn't stripped) and temporary fix done!
Gotta buy some of those brass gears so I won't have to worry about this again!

Pic of the CETA mod.
double checked my converter to flexplate spacing and grinded my calipers a bit to help clear the spokes on my rims. I fitted the rims with regular caliper and rotors and then mounted them on later with C5 braket and the spokes touched a little, so a little grinding on the face of them helped a bit.
Car is filthy. Haven't given it the spring bath yet. Weather in NY has been touch and go.
On a whim i just grabbed a wet sponge and cleaned the windows then a brush and got some dust off the rims.... made me want to break out the hose and bucket and go to town.... but i didn't it was already midnight.
Gave her a much deserved wash today, she was duuuuuuuuusty! Maybe tomorrow I'll buy antifreeze for the 98 and crank her over and wash her
Looked at her in the body shop... They tore off the whole rear end and started working on it. I got a speeding ticket yesterday in my Yukon.. Sucks.
Got the axle bearings pressed on the new axles, installed the center section and axles in the housing, and now I wait on the mail.....
Found out the MAC guy forgot to order my Torx Plus sockets.
lol the cornwell guh at a shop i use to work at was like that. Ud order stuff and then he wouldnt showup for like 4 weeks. Then when he did he got u the wrong tool.
OMG!!! come do mine!!! my hawk needs your skill!
Underhood looks much better. Stock lid?
certifit, belive it or not its a good fit i had to do a little sanding but nothing serious the gaps are nice and everything not bad for $270
Getting 2 new tires put on.
Walked pass the Trans this morning in the garage. Didn't drive it today because I had too many errands to do. So I drove my daily driver. Cant post a pic of my daily driver. Dont have rights I guess. Oh well!
finished my K member, control arms and rack install. now the air bag light is on. (see thread in general)
cleaned out interior and conditioned the leather seats.man the top of the back seat was DRY,used a crap load of conditioner on it.seen a few older 4th gens (94,95)where the top of the back seat leather was coming loose at the seams and i believe the sun causes this,so even though the back window has been tinted since my wife bought the car,the top back seat is very dry.fyi to other 4th gens with leather, use the conditioner liberally on the top of the back seat.
Rear end is finished up and broken in. Need to get the new rear tires on.....maybe tomorrow. SFCs are installed too. Had a busy day today.....
Fixing door panel cracks. Damn industrial staples are a bitch to get out.
