How much do ya'll think a shop would charge to repaint the nose piece off a TA?
Mine is bad......very bad, damn bugs here have started eating the clear off and since it's not going any where any time soon I was thinking of getting it done along with the head light covers.
EDIT:
No sooner as I post I get a call back...
Quoted: $275-$350 for the nose depending on how much bug damage/repair needed. Was also quoted $400 both sides for a hood if I wanted it done too.
Too much, Average?
Doesnt seem THAT bad. Paintwork is very time consuming.
I know and to have it done right for this piece it has to be difficult with the curves, edges and bends, let alone it's plastic.
I don't have any paint skills so I'm smart enough to get a pro to do it. I've seen the shops work on a few hot rods and muscle cars. They have an old 40-50's chevy tow truck that you would swear it has never had a touch up since it came of the line but the paint on it is patina that way. If they park it out front again I'll try to get a pic.
Nothin' wrong with that.
That's what Sammie said. Wonder what the hell it was? Its definitely a head/chest cold. Should be over it in 7-10 days. Got my taxes done tonight. Should be good to go with new suspension under the bird this spring :D
Dawn skipped work yesterday and today. I feel just fine... but that could be the paint fumes.
I kinda feel like I'm coming down with something but I might just be pretty damn tired also
Also trying on the new sig and avatar with this post :D
Well fuck me. Went and had my taxes done last night, and being the nice guy that I am i used one of their germ-x hand sanitizer wipes. Individually wrapped and shit. That was around 6ish. Around 8ish last night I took a couple benedryl because my hands were driving me insane. Tingly, itchy burning sensation with redness and some hives. Feeling went away and I fell asleep. Woke up at 4:30 this morning on fire again. Da Fuck?
Did you wash your hands?
Going to take a ride to the boneyard this morning. Hope to score some hardware off an older GM that will work on the Regal. I have a couple of mismatched fasteners and one or two that are rusted a bit too much to use. After that, it will be another fine day spent in the garage.
 Yea Jon, I washed my hands. I took a shower too, kinda glad it didnt spread...
Doin' some dishes right now, kind of seems to be helping, not super sure. I am going to stop taking the dayquil and mucinex too, just for safe measure. Those two along with the sani wipe are about the only things different from my normal routine.
the GD is fine :rotfl:
I will probably finish cuttin' up my scrap copper pipe and take that up. I saw on the stock ticker copper was trading at 3.46 per pound. Curious to see where the 'retail' price is in relation to that.
Spent an hour at the boneyard this morning grabbing hardware. Found an S-10 truck from the late '80s that was the biggest donor of bolts and stuff. Sammie snapped a pic of an old Trans Am with a custom firechicken on the hood that we found out back. I was actually pleased to see that you can still find the older cars there. Figured they would have all been crushed by now.
That particular car used to run around town, Jeff. Costys had it out front for sale a few years ago and it looked just as bad then as it does now.
I probably saw it then, but just don't remember it. May have to do another run down there once it warms up.
Mornin.
