What does it come with stock? A bearing exploded in the ten bolt of our old t/a vert so we got it rebuilt with 3.73's. That and a few other bolt ons rendered the 245's out back completely useless :)

Stock is 3:46. The shop owner told me 3:73s are better than the 3:46s and 3:91s as the stock 3:46s suck on mpgs with a modded motor and the 3:91s would render my 1st gear completely useless.

Shop owner is a special lil fella. Torque curve on our car is way stronger than stock right of the bottom. Would handle stock gears fine. 4.10's do make gears short

I just hope he can find a gearset. His suppliers don't have the 3:73s in stock.

My supplier is summit, everything cheaper and nine times or better out of ten it's in stock

The diff is whining. The shop owner and his son think it may be a bad carrier or pinion bearing. They suggested the 3:73 ring/pinion upgrade due to the mods under the hood. They told me I would increase my mpgs with teh new gears. And since the diff is gonna be apart anyways...why not?

Hey Zapfool...goat sounds nice as hell. To this day I will NEVER understand WHY our factory exhaust was reduced to 2-1/4 after the mufflers. WTF?!

Nah just keep your foot out of it and they should improve as 6th won't lug as much

OK. I have a feeling the shop is gonna have to look for 3:91s anyway as their suppliers can't find 3:73s. I wonder how much torque I'm gonna gain from 328? :thinking:
