Hi every one
My name is Joe.
I have ran out of gas on serval times. If I have chansaw/weed eater gas (I mix 25-1) I pore it in the tank. It smokes a litte bit but the engine runes fine. Then I fill up. It does not foul the plugs. It is good to lub the rings and valves.
Good Luck To All
Joe
just figured I'd report my findings since starting/trying this...
I've been using the Amsoil HPI in both my Monte SS and my wife's Equinox, and it's made a difference!
both are getting about 40-50 miles more out of a tank of gas, they run smoother, seem to start easier, more giddy-up, etc etc...
excellent!!
once this gallon is gone, I will be ordering more via CompSyn!!
Thank you for your report....good/bad or indifferent it is good to get real world feedback with data...
i'm definitely doing this within the next oil change or two, im totally interested to see what it does
Just for you I am writing in word and spell checking my shit. In the Charlotte area of North Carolina we have been required to have an emission test for years on 1975 and later gas burners. On the ones that burn oil and smoke worse than a weed eater does, if burning cheep oil messed up the o2 sensor the cars would not pass inspection. That being said DO NOT HAND ME YOUR BULLSHIT.
You two get a room and beat the shit out of each other....
I want to watch. How much for a front row seat? :sword:
No..
...fine... no holds barred, get your tickets now
MMO is good stuff....no doubt.....but I am getting better and more consistent returns with the 2stroke mix.....
After two tanks of shell 87 and tcw3 I can feel a difference in all the aforementioned ways. However, it does make a really thin gummy film (not regular motor oil, I have that on one) on the face of the outer metal. The centers are clean though. Maybe because fuel metering isn't exactly precise on the old Quad. Like letting off to no throttle at 70= high vacuum and rich. My new 10 miles at 70mph route everyday plus mobil hm and mmo is cleaning up the rings on #8. I compression tested it as every cylinder but 8 at 170psi. 8 was 160, which is considered acceptable. But I can feel and hear it firing better slowly now that I get to fully warm it up and beat the shit out of it every day. If all else fails after the next oil change with rotella+auto rx it'll be engine restore until I build a new one. I need seals and guides in the old shitty 882's, and with the prices around here it's more cost effective to just get some Patriot vortecs:blah:
Did you all use the same octane and brand of gasoline, I've been using the shell v-power (91 octane) in my silvey, that already detergents, and their nitrogen additive, any chance of negative effects. Motor has 172K miles.
None. I also use Shell VPower. Nothing but positive effects.
will this save fuel pumps, just replaced
