And I have no cats therefor no rear 02s
Check the grounds, If they are loose it would do the same things. There's one by the battery and one more on that side I think on the back side of the block.
For some reason this thread was all I could think about in my dreams last night.
Ok, I'm changing fuel filter today, cleaning maf, and checking grounds. I got the over heating in control. Drove car for a test run, and it did fine but towArds the end of the drive same symptoms, ac dies off, and car will nit accelerate but will rev up. Let's see what happens with what I do today.
No my sensors are not tuned out.
That will make the car run a little rich until you do.
What should I be looking for? Crimped wires?
Hi, I'm new here and probably way off base, but usually if the air shuts off that is a fail safe mode that usually only happens when a car overheats.
^very true, buy does it cause my gas gauge to light up and car to bog simultaneously??
So the ac will shut off and the car tries to shut off also if it's over heating? I think I found my problem.
I had a friend that had a similar issue with overheating. His wifes car start to act up badly while driving. When I checked the car it had the overheating code in. the tire shop took the radiator cap off and they didn't put it back correctly. The coolant was low. We filled back up, cleared the codes and the the car ran fine. This was in a nissan altima.
It could be possible. Does the car continues to overheat?
You may need to burp the air out of the radiator. If you have an airlock, that will give you fits.
installing new radiator as soon as it comes in. lets hope this is the problem.
Keep us posted.
Problem fixed. Car is running great.
so it was the radiator?
yes it was the radiator, no cracks that i could see, it was not leaking either, pretty confusing.
