We were never "officially" a couple from day one. We were dating and spent a great amount of time with one another and talked all the time the entire time we dated.
Not sure if this matters or not either, but we both have a very high sex drive with one another and were very intimate all the time; several times a day whenever we were together.
I don't know if that changes anything or not...but I'm not going to contact her anymore and see where that gets me. Can't hurt I guess.

I'm just going to add to this that a high sex drive and a long distance relationship, isn't the best pairing.
What I do know, is that when we're done. We're done. And constant contact attempts are only going to make her wish she lived even further away...
Give her space and live your life in the meantime. Don't put it on hold. If she's going to come back around, she's going to have to have time to miss you a little bit ;)

Here's a little formula that works for me:
Put on your bad boy face and go for a drive in the meanest, loudest car you own. Go for a long drive, far away and in whatever direction opposite from her that pulls you the hardest.
