They have no advantage off the line, they have slightly steaper gears in the 5 speed but not enough to make up for the lack of power.

ya i been texting him and he said no they arent doing anything "we have real power" and i said back, and i dont? All this shit has been said, he told me his has a stroker motor, roller cam, 650 cfm carb, 4v heads and shorty headers and honest to god said he put down 192 rwhp and 282 rwtq, i asked why it was so low and he said he has a v6 drivetrain from tranny to rear and it restricts a lot of his power, supposedly speedtek said very capable of 300rwhp and 400rwtq and that that v6drive train needs to go soon and prolly will. I raced him and murdered him, he said the black one should be a real good race. He told me this morning that it had bolt ons, now he is saying its bone stock. The kid is really pissing me off with his stupidity

What does v6 drivetrain mean? Usually smaller weaker drivetrains rob less power.
Idk man I had a kid in high school who claimed he had v6 valve covers on his v8 mustang even though it actually was a 6 and it also had 1000hp lol oh and did 10's. And a v6 tranny wouldnt even mate up to a 4.6 oh and they use a 7.5 rear so it should rob less power than the gt 8.8

Well he doesnt want to today, we did get about a foot of snow in texas thursday but its all melting today and roads are dry so i have no clue as of why he doesnt want to

Drivers are everything. My last T56/LS1 (Lid/LM1) I ran 2 mod mustangs, an '04 Mach 1 w/ 100 shot, and walked him from 25-110 or so (End of 3rd). Going into 3rd I had about a car and a half, MAYBE 2, and when we let off his front bumper was nearing my door. He was coming HARD! Dude claimed I was packing atleast a 75 shot:rolleyes: I should've ran him for money but I thought he was atleast a half decent driver:lol:
Also ran a 99-04 GT 5 speed, 150 shot, LOUD as hell! Before the arm drop, we were both readying to launch, and I literally had to look at tach to see where my RPMs were, because his car was so freakin' loud! Anyways, I spun not even halfway through first, then hooked, he spun all the way through first, and bit going into second. I duno how many cars I had on him, but at the "supposed 1/4 mark" his front bumper was at my rear. Again, ANOTHER mustang that should've torn me a new one! The Mach1 was on halfway worn Nitto DRs and the GT was on near new MT DRs. And both said they were packing the juice, but who knows:shrug:
Doesn't matter how much power either has, if they can't drive what they got, they're next mod needs to be driving school. Same goes for you my friend, make sure you go out and practice some launches. If you can slam those gears, and they get too excited, you shouldn't have a problem. Just stay on top of your game, be confident, and don't get too excited when it's time to drop the clutch:)
well thanks. i think i shift well enough i have taken a ls1 formula that hit it first and when i shifted into 4th, (we were goin from a 75) i went passed him. Just need to practice my launches.
