not to really..there is no other sensor on our cars that plays such a vital roll in our fueling than the maf (upstream o2s being a close second) sensors are also much more different than a cam or intake...the tune is set for a maf with a screen and the stock size with the resisters you have stock....you change any of those on a stock tune and your readings will be skewed...how they "make" more power is returning a lower voltage in comparison to a stock maf for a specific amount of air/load..so the pcm under-estimates the amount of air coming in so it cuts fuel and makes you run lean .......this is a big problem if you get a tune and they cut down on your afr ..then you could run even leaner than you think and well..the rest is obvious ....only gm mafs should ever be used for this reason..and even then caution should be used.
