Looking like rain. I am going to get the Challenger checked out for inspection on Tuesday and then not sure. I was going to go do some work up at the building, but if it rains things will be a muddy mess up there.
Zap - are you planning on Harvey's Lake? Any interest in a passenger? Sammie announced this morning that she wants to go. I was hoping to drive the Corvette (better bring a tow strap). Your call on this one.
Mornin.
Rain has started and appears that it will last through the day. I'll probably head into the office later rather than go tomorrow morning like I usually do. I almost forgot that the countdown to Fall Carlisle has begun. :nana:
Is it the final countdown???

Yes, it is.
I realised today that Mario must be homeless. He wears the same clothes all the time, runs around in sewers, beats people up for money, and then spends the money on mushrooms. No wonder I'm so messed up.....it really was video games......
:hmm:
I swear this Blazer must be cursed.
All week had no time to work on it, No rain, perfect weather.
Last night comes, I planned on getting a little bit done, and :cuss: rain clouds start coming. Suppose to be raining all weekend.
FU, rain, FU!!!
Oh, for the record, I can't put in the garage because the bird is in there on jack stands. Can't move the bird because the driveway has a 20* decline.
Looks like Vegas was right on with the line for OSU and Florida......
Raining buckets here. :(
You're getting our rain from earlier. Woke me up around 6 this morning. Rained hard for a while. Fairly nice out now though.
Jeff, I'm in. Car might be down for the count at that point though.i need to get that transmission out of there before it gets cold.
Sounds good, Zap. My garage is always open... and it is always heated. Let's just get that thing down here and do it.
Always open you say. You won't mind if I borrow the Regal at random right?
Not a problem. Had you come to the GM show, we could have gone out and broken some laws with it.
Spent the whole morning shoveling dirt, picking rock and mowing up at the building. Looks much better. Seamless gutters are being installed on Tuesday so I am hoping that will alleviate my moisture issues on the high side of the building.
So, we had a few hours of no rain, so I took a chance and we tore into the Blazer. It's not too bad but not best case ether.
First clue was the zero compression.
Second clue was this:

The third clue was a valve spring much lower then the rest. Forgot to take a pic.
Then I found this:

That valve is stuck in there. I know it's bent. Good news the mls gasket is intake and so are the intake gaskets.
Looks like a valve job, I didn't see and cracks but the shop will have to check. Also I laid a piece of flat stock across the head and didn't see that it warped.
So, so, so F^%king glad I didn't pay for this Blazer.
On the plus side at least my son is working his butt off working on this. :chuckles:
