I'm gonna say open exhaust. Maybe a cutout or duel cutouts after the headers.

This is the loud mouth system 1 (no baffles). Too much to tolerate when open road.
I've replaced this system #1 with the system #2 which is a little quieter and has a deep muscle car sound that is much like the sound of the 1960's glass-pack sound, but way louder.

I've had my 9" for several years pushing 500+ to the wheels without any issues. Just curious, who set yours up? Generally, if they make noise, it's because they weren't put together properly; incorrect backlash, proper pinion depth, or wrong preload (bearing) are the 3 main contributors. Of course, something else could have just broke, but I rarely have seen or heard of that.
Nice pipe tunes!
Oh yeah, car sounds and looks awesome!
Loud Mouth system #1 exhaust pipes. Hooker long tubes. "Off-road" down pipes. Emissions system removed.
Latest mods: 243 heads (06 Vette) ported and polished and shaved. 11.0 compression
Steve's Dyno Tuning in Painsville, Ohio set up the first set and 2nd set of 4.11's. 2nd set was no improvement. Mike's Custom & Speed re-did the 2nd 4.11's. I can't remember the Dude's name who set up the 4.56's. He had a shop in his basement. The 4.56's are quieter than the 4.11 setups.
Were all the different gear sets from the same manufacturer (through Moser) or did you try different brands?
Out of curiosity, are you running a tunnel mount torque arm on the 9"? If so, they amplify the noise from the rear quite a bit.
Ordered up a new alternator so I can put in the shiny new CBR relocation kit and get it out from under that damned pump.
Stored it yesterday at PAjeff's. Gonna be a hard couple months!
I ordered wheel dollies yesterday! Salt went down on the roads Monday!😳 I agree, it'll be a LOOOOOONG few months!
Garage needs some organizing to get the car into the corner under a cover!😢
Other news...reran the airlines to the ARBs in my Tacoma! Installed new Goodyear DuraTracs on it for the winter too! Next...winch and control rebuild/replace!😀

Getting a little tight in there!🤗
Oh my... in addition to Darren's car we have the '87 Buick Turbo Regal, '02 Trans Am, '74 Corvette, '40 Chevy, '88 Corvette, '66 Buick Wildcat, '66 Buick LeSabre, '67 Olds Cutlass, '71 Olds Cutlass, '70 Camaro, '67 Olds Wagon, and a '66 Buick LeSabre chassis, plus the race trailer and my father's enclosed trailer all in winter storage. I think that is everything that is up there.
Don't feel too bad, they are 6v electric riding cars for little kids. The Cobra is really cool, especially since it is liscensed by Shelby itself. My Uncle bought it for my daughter because her middle name is Shelby. Now my Uncles got a cool collection, a 65 Sunbeam Tiger with a Ford Motorsports GT40 headed 302 and a 5 speed manual, a 2015 (real) Porsche Boxster, and a Honda S2000.
It's certainly right at home. All the sit time next to my F-150 it probably feels like less of an outcast lol!
Udy is right, that would make for one fancy garage photo!
I know what you mean. My garage is a fairly decent sized one, and I have maxed it out with the recent addition of a Sportsman 850.
This was before, I have the ATV in the upper right corner with the plow on the floor to make space.

Nice Tacoma though, The Duratracs have a great reputation. I have an F-150 with Nitto Trail Grapplers on it, while it is a pavement queen, I love the tires and wouldn't want to go back to an all terrain again.
