the most i did when i was lifting alot was 300. i was starting to get too big for my taste (weight lifters gut and all that) so i swithed from heavy lifting to more cardio. leaned from 190 to 165. lost some strengh but can still push 250-260. i'm where i wanna be, for now.
6'1" 280 I can bench 465 one rep max... I play defensive line, and we're all about getting stronger at my school. My goal before the end of summer is an even 500, but it's easier said then done.
5`5`` 145 benched 250
my buddy 5`6``135 benched 300 no juice or ANY THING
Well guys, I broke 300 pounds today on the smith. And I did 8 reps with it, Not as bad as I thought...
I weighed in today at 176, I weighed 149 last october. It takes a long time for lean muscle weight gain.
I don't just bench press, But lately I've been trying to build my chest more and as a result have been on the bench
I don't take any supps at all if that makes any difference
5'9" 127lbs
Saw this thread, figured wtf get on the bench press at the gym before my cardio workout. 135. YIKES, maybe I should start lifting. Although I bet I can beat any of you guys at a pull-up contest.
Neither do (or did) I.
300 on a smith machine isnt the same free weight. Even doing 285 12 times.
Its just one of those things. If you were a powerlifter, that bench number wont mean much. Shit, any other weight lifter that asked you your max will say that bench number doesnt count.
A smith machine is on par with doing a squat only partially the way down. It doesnt count.
Smith Machines are bad all around anyway cuz of the unnatural plane of movement it forces your body to move through.
Man i feel week. Im 6;5 and i weigh 165lbs.. i maxed out at 135. I just started lifting though like a month ago.. my goal is to get 315 within a year. idk if its a very realistic goal but i figure if i lift alot and start putting on more weight i could do it.
The bar.
