PAH!
Looks like the next few days are going to be gassy for me. Got venison ready for the crock pot tomorrow, and more ready for spiedies/steaks the next day.
Went to the cruise in tonight and saw a few different cars. Two people approached me and said that there was a guy there looking for me... wants me to help him sort out an issue on an LS1 transplant in a second gen. Should be a good brain teaser.
I wonder if it was Kevin Morgan...he is the artist that did the retro T/A from the camaro concept. He is just completing a LS1 swap into his 81 T/A. He's having issues with it skipping at idle...he posted here and on another forum. I helped with a few suggestions..
Bingo!
When I figured out who he was at the last Tuesday night cruise in I went to...I was shocked. He did not fit the bill, so to speak.
It used to, it's become a lot more space-ship looking I think.
I always wanted a rocket ship....
I met him at the Blossburg Coal Festival in '09 or '10. Very cool guy and I really do like his design. Seeing it in person really did it for me.
Kinda surprised they're dropping the Durango after just bringing it back in '11. Haven't heard of too many issues with the 8 speeds. Hell when I was working at the dealer I saw blowed up Hemis than non cvt trannies. Cvts were hit or miss and are a Nissan problem
maybe their transmissions are better now, but that 'legend' will forever haunt them.
Mornin
Greetings. Looks like a nice day to drive the Corvette.
Mornin.
Morning, I really gotta start fixing the T/A. Anybody know the ballpark of replacing the front windshield? Or special things I should look for? I know my trim needs replacing because half of it is missing :sulk:
inb4 just call the insurance
Need some advice:
Did a compression test on the Blazer last night.

So I know I have an issue with 2 & 4 cylinders. I'm thinking that it's just a head gasket leak because 2 cylinders are effected (fingers crossed). I'll know more after I get the head off. I'm hoping it's not a bad valve or cracked piston.
My question is that IF it's just the head gasket on the passenger side that is effected would you leave the one on the drivers cylinder head alone OR swap it out as well?
