It'll be changed before long. I haven't messed with it yet. Thanks for the heads up though. I'm debating on changing all I that to the stainless steel look like the rest of my lettering. Thoughts?

I really like the Trans Am logo on the front radiator air diverter and the matching bird on the license plate cover...nice!
Stainless on the black would be really sharp.
I have "chrome" graphics on my bird, to include the hood. They look sharp as hell and really does stand out

BUT..........
Some issues to bring up.
"Chrome" graphics seem to last 1 yr, 2 if you're real lucky. After that they begin to fade, even flake off, but leave the sticky paper. PITA to clean off.
Clay Bar and waxing you have to be careful, need to do by hand, otherwise if you use a buffer it will take them off.
"Stainless Steel" - These last longer, suppose to be 5-7 yrs, still look good on Black & NMB cars, others, not so much. Same precautions for clay bar & waxing.
What ever theme you decide make sure it works, otherwise you're wasting money.
Everything I have on the car is actual stainless steel minus the sail birds. They are chrome decals. I do like the looks of the decals between the tail lights though. I think that's what I'll go with.
Did a weekend makeover on my car. Changed the stock WS6 wheels for a set of Corvette N73 Magnesium wheels with Nitto 555s and added a 4th Circle Designs hood stripe and overlay kit.

Installed a Hurt pistol grip shifter in my A4 TA with the MBA shift adapter (both bought from WS6store)
Came out GREAT! Looks and feels amazing
Before ordering I had called WS6store and I spoke with Mike who is the owner to make sure it would work with the pistol grip, he was really cool and helpful and assured me he would ship the same day
Ordered it on monday and received it wednesday!

You guys listed all of the reasons when I debadge all of my vehicles.
Removed the transmission for rebuild/upgrade....again....
Getting ready to replace the clutch and hydraulics while the transmission is in the shop.
Found it for sale on the internet in Manheim, Pa. SIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH. Damn.
Wife hit it pulling into garage tonight...:ahh:
Sorry to hear, Ben. At least no one was hurt.
She was pretty tore up about it. Wasn't as bad as one would think. She wedged her car between the garage door frame and my car. You have to make a 90 degree turn into the garage. She hasn't parked her new Traverse in the garage since I have been working on my car. It's quite a bit larger than what she was driving. Nothing that I can't buff out hopefully on my car. Her's scrapped the paint off her bumper and rubbed white paint on the drivers side. I handled it better than she did surprisingly. However, getting mad at a prego wife wouldn't have been in my best interest! :)
Let her think about it for a while and it will turn out the accident was your fault after all.
Oh, it was my fault. apparently I was too far over... However it was parked in the exact same spot it is always parked it. Good call Steve.
Changed the oil, tranny fluid, filter and gasket. Bags packed along with the SFC's and down to the in-laws to weld em up this weekend! We'll see how stiff this new suspension is and if I can walk after 4 hours on the road!
Dropped the tranny off at a new shop for rebuild.....again.....
M6. I'm a little rough on it though. Just ask Dan - tlsaddict.....
Wife said my car got hit by hail :( I'll inspect tomorrow and hopefully no damage was really done
Welded in the sub frame connectors. Now just need new bump stops so I don't keep rubbing the fenders. Any suggestions?

Brought her home from Dad's garage for good, No hood( painter ), no inspection, no tags, new LS7 clutch on the bench, slave, Tick mc, sequential tail light kit, and NO Time
Test fit the 8.8 on my buddies car. Everything lined up perfectly.....We even compressed the suspension and plenty of clearance for the tank and exhaust.

Ok, you'd be surprise how many ppl have forgotten to load the suspension when welding.
Lowered the car with BMR lowering springs, KYB Struts, Founders LCA's Relo Brackets, ADJ PHB and SFC's. I have 18x9.5 tires on the rear. Just catches the outside lip of the fender when going over dips in the road or going over bridges that aren't smooth at high speeds. Around town driving and cruising isn't an issue.

I thought that was a no brainer. However, I am not curious. What would happen if you didn't? I should have taken a picture of it on the fork lift! That was kinda cool.
I started tearing out the rear end to change my diff back to a posi from a locker, I have to say though swapping the 9" in was easier than taking it out, I will put a few pics up when I get home.
Put full coverage back on the car. Feeling too lazy to get it though lol.
Both sides rub. Not much but enough to hear it. The rear end is centered and double checked by my buddy at the alignment shop.
This.
Out of storage and fully insured. I'm always amazed, after sitting for 3 months with no starting, a little jump from the pack and she turns over in 2 cranks.
I almost forgot how the loud these damn doors are.
Wife is going to beat my ass when she get's home.
Just ordered Tick Performance Street Heat Stage 3 POLLUTER Camshaft for LS2 Engines 239/244 | .62x”/.59x” | LSA112
and BTR valve springs.... :D
Alternator done and fresh oil is in :)
I'll have to look tomorrow to find the offsets and spacing on them. They don't rub too horribly. Enough to catch the very inside edge of the fender. I just got the Jeep bump stops, so that should hopefully prevent then amount of travel causing the rubbing. If not, we'll move on to the rolling of the fenders.
That would be great. I don't travel down to Indiana nearly as much as I used to, however I make a couple trips to Chicago a few times a year for work. If it's nice I'll drive, it's crappy I fly.
There's a guy that lives about 30 minutes south of me that has a 2002 MRM WS6 but he never drives it... EVER... I don't quite understand the concept of that, but to each their own. He bumped into me at a show last year and was picking out the flaws on mine, I had to kindly remind him that I was here and his car was in a barn under a cover collecting dust.
:Owned: Hate that when ppl do that shit, never bring a ride but can nitpick the hell out others. I told one to put up or shut up & :gtfo: , I won 2nd place in that show for modified 90's category 0ut of 15 cars.
I had a 96 FB this color and have regretted selling it. My favorite color, I hate the orange red color. If I ever get another Trans Am it will be this color.
Is he just a collector? Hmmm what a jackass that mrm is very killer though wouldn't mind owning a ws6 with Mrm.... maybe next car..
Gave up looking for seat foam. Had the worst experience at JoAnn Fabrics getting new foam. What a cluster f*ck of old women! Pulled the seat out and shoved a new piece under my but. Repaired the leaky bladder and put it back in the car. My butt no longer feels the motor under the seat and the lumbar hits the lumbar, no. Longer the middle of my back!
Im only 30 miles from the Southside of Chicago. I actually work there as well. I'm right off I65 and RT80. Very close to I94. As a matter of fact my father grew up on Sheboygan MI, spent a lot of time in Topinabe (If I spelled that correct). We still vacation there every year when time alows. If and when you do come through,I will make every effort to meet up
If anyone were to nitpic on my ride.....Since I am somewhat stock..I cant put-up....But I will shut him up :spank2:. Gotta love an ass-clown who can talk it.....but doesn't have his ride there to walk it. I love constructive criticism, In fact I welcome it...but to talk down to or be condescending..I haven't the patience for people like that.
GRATZ on 2nd place Scott
Yeah they did my mom was looking at a drop top Ss in that color its nice.
Started putting parts back on!

Aftermarket?
Get ARP studs or bolts.
Clevite will be fine. Let them figure out exactly what you need.
I think I have a brand new timing cover gasket, front main seal, and exhaust manifold gaskets. I'll check my pile-o-parts tomorrow.
Went and picked up both side mirrors and a new radio. Someone hit my drivers mirror a few days ago and the passenger side was broke when I bought the car.
She might go into the body shop on Monday, let's hope she is treated right and all goes well
I started disassembling my ls6 today.
Both heads are not on, headers are bolted up and rockers are on but not adjusted yet.
Taking mine to the parts store to scan my SES light............................................. ......................................fun times :cry2:
I deleted all the codes and it drove 100% normal for a few minutes then started doing the same thing again...I picked up a C5 Corvette o2 sensor to install @ the parts store. I cleaned the MAF and cleaned the throttle body too while everything was out of the way. When I unplugged the passenger side o2 sensor water fell out of the connection so im pretty sure that was a big piece of the problem. I blew the connection out with a compressor and let it air dry before I plugged the new one up...it took me a solid 3 hours to get the freaking o2 sensor out. I sprayed it down, popped a wrench with a hammer, started the car to let it warm up...I did everything but cut it off and weld a new o2 mount in place :bat: I finally got it out by using one of the o2 tools you can get @ a parts store...I put a really long wrench on the end of it and went to town on it. After replacing the o2 sensor everything went back to normal.
the car runs fine now... pretty sure the passenger side o2 was the main issue. :woot:
Finally finished my hood wrap and stripes!

Jay how are your DRL's looking so good?
Got my oil pump & 1 of 2 poly engine mounts. The 2nd one comes tomorrow.
http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps41b78213.jpg
no idea...I am the 2nd owner of the car and the person who did the exhaust and long tubes had the passenger side o2 connection hanging below the frame...im sure one puddle was all it took because it was completely exposed. I rewired everything and tucked it in so "hopefully" it wont happen again. If it wasnt water, a speed bump probably would have just ripped the wire off...
Removed 5 of 8 pistons, which was a lot easier than I thought it would be. The book "Rebuilding LS series engines" has been helpful so far.

Removed all 5 main caps, all pistons/rods but two. For some reason I can't really get to one bolt on each of the last connecting rods. I can put a wrench on it but it is on too tight to do and real good. A socket won't fit either. I sprayed some liquid wrench on the bolts, hopefully that does some good by morning.

What if you turn over the crank some?
Went from Huntsville, AL to Atlanta, GA...then to Nashville, TN and back to Huntsville, AL. Averaged right around 27mpg with all highway and interstate driving :woot: did about 3 hard pulls playing around...
anyone done a fresh clutch install or can point me to a write up for it? thinkin bout doing this one myself, i have a buncha tools and shop, but never actually done a clutch myself
Replaced runner housings and CETA mod
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
no hurry on the writeup, i havent ordered parts yet, bc i was on the fence about doing it myself
Got my intake back together, polished my electric water pump and measured for pushrod length. I will order the pushrods tomorrow and hopefully have this thing running soon!
I should have the transmission back from the shop possibly Friday, so I may be able to do the write up this weekend. Otherwise it'll probably be next weekend. It'll cover tranny removal, clutch replacement, master cylinder and slave cylinder replacement, speed bleeder installation, and reassembly.
