It takes disease to bring you back around...
6 hours later and a lot of cussing my car still isn't aligned properly. Both wheels are toed out 1.5 degrees and we ran out of threads on the tie rods. The kicker is that camber and caster are all set perfectly. Now we need to pull the a-arms and adjust them out to give us more thread on the tie rods.
Of all of the trouble this accident has caused me, this one is the worst.
Wrenched on a VW of all things tonight. Swapped out strut mounts as the stockers were totally whooped.
I rented a compression checker to see if the head gaskets blew and it decides to rain.
Been misting here all night. Cooled off a whole bunch since last week too. Even turned the heat on for the first time last night... hope the natural gas prices stay low.
Can't wait for it to cool off here. We turn the ac off till March, our electric bill drops almost $170. In the height of hot summer temps it spikes up to $360 a month.
I almost hit $150 this year running the AC full bore back in July.
Weird. My highest electric bill all summer was like 90 bucks, and I kept the house a cool 69 degrees!
Thanks to having the building we're still running 3 window units, plus a dehumidifier in the basement. I called yesterday for Gutter Pros to come and install the gutters and downspouts on it. Making some headay towards concrete maybe.
Possibly heading to Troy this evening.
we get butt rape for utilities here
Mornin.
Ran a 8.44 @ 93mph with a shitty launch. Can anyone translate that to a 1/4 mile time?
I haven't been to the drag strip in like 4-5 years... so I'm not too disappointed with it.
Interesting changes coming for Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep in the next few years. A supercharged "Hellcat" version of the Challenger, 9 speed auto in the Dart (and Chrysler doesn't already have enough tranny problems?) and the Durango to be dropped in place of a Jeep "Grand Wagoneer".
