Has anyone ever cut some holes in the heavy stock skid plate to reduce weight and increase cooling? I like the aftermarket plates but they are too much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$. :spank2:
that stock piece is pretty thick. Not that holes couldn't be cut but unless you have a plasma cutter ( which would look not so smooth I think) it would be a job to cut holes in that thing.
Yes I have cut holes,letters,and shapes before which helps greatly in air flow. A hole saw kit works for making round holes. Just keep the cutter lubed. And the plasma works also but leaves flashing. I didn't care as you can't see that shit anyways.Quote:
