[QUOTE=FantaZGuy28;1199645]The most unique build that I have done was on myself.
haha good job, what kinda diet you follow? anti-gym?
love the bioat videos man ! that is sweet
And Sleeper, you SHOULD know that you can put a pushrod v8 in damn near anything and everything. here some examples since you don't seem too bright
http://www.vorshlag.com/cart/product...roducts_id=141 < BMW Ls1 kit
http://www.monstermiata.com/ < 302 Miata kit
http://www.s10v8.com/store/product_i...products_id/35 < name says it all
http://www.renegadehybrids.com/indexx.html < ls1 subaru and Porsche swaps
http://www.hinsonsupercars.com/ < Rx-7 ls1 swaps
again, these are ones just off the top of my head. now go / yourself
Ya I have heard of a few v8 Miata's and I have only seen 1. Not every day you see one.
If you have enough equipment you can put any engine you won't in any ride you won't, Its been proven!!
I thought (eddielb) was talking abour RWD conversion on the 240!! I was about to ask what you had been smoking? But I realized he was talking about his Stratus. My bad!Quote:
Changing the car from front wheel drive to rear wheel drive.
ya RWD was on my stratus... was going to use a foxbody rear w/ everything needed.... glad i got rid of that POS
Exactly, Miatas kick ass with 100hp... I think a stock 250hp 5.0 would make it retarded. I've got a friend with a 355 chevy in a old chevy LUV. I don't have any of that project even started yet. its in the planing stage and may never come to fruition. The only thing thats making me question it is can I turbo the stock motor and get the same hp for about 2 grand and half the work. More homework is required
but a v8 sound is soo much better than a turbo 4... although BOV do sound cool...
Well you gotta consider the priceing of a turbo kit. A good kit will cost you 2,000 including manifold and Intercooler. Tuning is prob going to be your biggest concern. That could Cost big bucks too. If you got the cash Put a v8 in it.
I could see a turbo if it was a common thing people did. But if there is no aftermarket support it will cost you more in the long run. Either way very cool!!!
Not near as exciteing as the drag boat, but I have built several old muscle cars. I have also been in on the build of a personal experimental airplane. That was pretty cool. The Faa rules do not apply in some of the build up aspects so we used some after market car stuff in the engine build. Pretty neat little airplane.
Tuning is a easy part IE Megasquirt/Hydra as I am already used to tuning. And there is no intercooler for the turbo as it blocks the flow to the radiator. Also the turbo kit I mentioned earlier comes with all the stand-alone fuel mang. items such as the megasquirt. The v8 would require more work but god damn wouldn't it be awesome?
There was a time when I had my car modded a little... I was about 17 and had/still have my 3rdgen Z. I was the fastest guy around town as far as I knew. Then late one night... at a redlight I roll up on a old school bug. He had 1 seat in the car with nothing else. he called me out because I had/ still have a roll cage. the light goes green and he walks my ass until about 100mph. Which as far as I'm concerned was a good 1/4 run and he beat me. I then started to realize that anything can be fast when done right

Thats a true statement. :true:
