- - i have only once set my alarm off..that was when i had my hatch open and i shut it...my car was locked and then my alarm went off...
there has to be some serious shit going on for it to go off..

i know how you feel. about 8 months ago i had just had my T/A painted and i came out of wal-mart only to find my driver side mirror broke all to shit and a big ass scratch on my window. and of course nobody saw anything

i hate stupid who mess with other peoples cars you cant adjust a factory alarm as far as i know it will only go of if the voltage in the car changes (like opening the door) thats why they dont go off when you hit them ive delt with car alarms and audio for years

Then apparently you don't realize that we have bump sensors on our cars. That little box that I mentioned above is it. There is a white adjustment screw on it that makes it more or less sensitive.

As for how far you adjust it. That's all up to you on if you want it to go off all the time or not. Just keep adjusting until you find the right setting.

Mine is still at factory settings and if a loud enough truck drives by it will chirp. Same if loud thunder rolls by. Also if I set it at the car wash, and I'm using the brush, it will go off.

I can't remember for sure, but I think you have an option of turning this sensor off also with the alarm adjustments, but I'd have to look at those options in the manual again. Yours could be off if it doesn't go off when bumping the car. Test it by closing it up, arming it, then hitting the outside wheel well, above the tire, where the sensor is located.

my mistake thats a new one on me most factory alarms cant be adjusted they dont even have shock sensors

I just adjusted mine a little... left it on the low side... cause neighbors started getting cranky about the fact that I was doing it at night...so I'll continue tomorow...but it works like a charm...:nana:
