With a higher lift you need to upgrade the springs to get the right spring pressure. Stock springs = light spring pressure. Higher lift will cause your valves to oscillate and float especially at the higher RPM's. Depending on how high your lift is will depend on what spring you can run. Stiffer spring more control you have over your valve train.

Cam has been ordered. Went with the 224R Cam kit, with the 112 LSA. I'm also buying an running and driving '01 Tahoe Saturday for $850. Ill be taking the 4L60E out, along with the wiring harness and ecm, and all the accessories off the front of the motor. Pretty excited about this steal.

Started getting everything sprawled out for pre assembly checks and some plastigage, and found out i only have 7 pistons and rods. wonderful.
-Question is, can i just rob 1 piston and rod from the 5.3 tahoe engine im going to be dismantling, or do i need to take all 8 from the tahoe motor?
