METALLICA Christmas Light Show 2012 - Videos on Demand - Metal Injection
Hopefully I will get mine up this weekend. Not sure why I bother, it will be another empty home again this year :lol:
loneliness = cruel world
Nah, less drama, less bullshit, less stress, more money, more success. Perks are there too haha.
Oddly, the ad at the bottom of this thread when I clicked on it was for Christmas trees :lol:
Could someone go down to Rockefeller Center and take a picture of the giant tree they have there? I'll trade you some pics of my naked tree. Only had to cut a foot off to make it fit this year. Fired up the Husqvarna right in the living room. It's Christmas tradition in my home.
I dont have one in my house, but heres a couple I was involved in......
At work our secretary was complaining that we didnt have a christmas tree at the office.... so turn 20 welders loose with a couple of electricians and this is what you get.....

The second one is kinda cool, when I lived in rapid in my apartment, the girl who lived below me was a good friend (my cousin married her sister) so they were good family friends, just so happened she lived in the apartment below mine, but anyways, she has a little boy, about 4 now, whose real dad wanted nothing to do with him, signed over his rights and the works, so while i lived there he was pretty sure i was the closest thing to a dad he had. Well she had posted something on fb about how excited for christmas he was and i asked if they had a tree and she said no... so the good guy inside of me thats usually hidden said I would take him out and get a tree since she really didnt have the rescources to do so (single parent working a nursing home job and going to school) So I drove back for a weekend, picked him up, and we went and drove around in the forest till we found some good ones, and i let him pick which one he wanted and of course he picks this 60 footer, so i cut the whole damn thing down and then took the top 4 foot for his tree. then we went to walmart and i bought them a stand, skirt, lights, ornaments, and the works, even let him pick out a track-hoe toy for his present. Well we took it all home and decorated it for him and this is the end result.....

You can't even see my address on my porch my house is so dark.
outside lights are too much work...we just have an 8 ft prelit tree, that our 2 month old kitten destroys on a daily basis
As promised, my friend bought me this...

It's nice because I don't need to take it down...
Here she is in all her glory...
note the ghetto plastic which does nothing to keep the carpet free of needles. Force of habit I suppose. After this picture was taken, I added that stringy shiny tinsel. So imagine that on most of the tree. I say most because the damn cat ate most of the tinsel off the bottom. He regret that decision about 5 hours after he made it.
Looks good. I always lay a large trash bag under the tree stand to act as a water barrier. It's covered by the skirt so no one can see it.
