this is just a good thread about our cars. thats all. nothing personnel to anyone ones car. just some interesting things we love and hate about our cars. kinda like your first girlfriend. some things you just loved but dam there were some things you just hated!:nana:Quote:

But there are definitely those things that I REALLY wish I could fix or change about my car. One thing that really annoys me is that the slower I try to drive, the harder my car is to drive "casually." The clutch is very particular on my car... and it gets annoying in traffic or parking lots etc.
Hate is indeed a strong word to use. Perhaps it's not the correct "term", but I think the point is that we all have similar dislikes or things we wish would could change about our cars.
I love that It goes 90mph in second gear..
I hate watching the fuel gauge drop..

After I posted, I assumed that was probably the gear that was able to accomplish that. I have 4.11 gears now, so I don't hit too high of speeds in 2nd anymore.

Hate, the truck like feel when driving under 30 MPH.
Side windows a tad to high, but not as bad as the new ones. I like to stick my arm out the window and sitting on the floor makes it tough.
With all newer cars I hate the same thing, urethane front ends chip way to easy.

Never has a car that put power to the ground as well as this and I've spent alot of money trying.
I hate the frameless windows! They rattle to much if they are not all the way up or down. And they let water in.
Most likely due to the cheapness in build quality rather than the lack of a frame..Quote:

Usually it's a result of the weatherstripping and/or the felt cushions inside the door are worn slightly allowing movement. You can rebuild the doors with new parts and eliminate most (if not all) of those problems. It's just a product of aging.
Doors with window frames (us old folk refer to this as "sedans") Just don't have that issue.
I drive a convertible and have not noticed window rattling... just lucky, I guess? Not too bad for a 13-year old car.
Neither of mine rattle in either the 02 convertable or my wifes 00 T-top. But the cars are still young. Wait till they are 25 years old and all the door rubber parts start to harden up and shrink.Quote:

My aftermarket seats (Getting new bomz racing seats christmas)
the seat belt positioning (Getting 5 point harness this christmas)
The gauges looking plain jane (getting a white face gauge and black bezzle for christmas)
The shifter is crappy looking (New shift boot plus shifter are on the way from afterthoughtautos)
Never fast enough for me (For 4th anniversary of having the car I will be rebuilding the whole drivetrane and getting a new transmission and head and cams)
*All in all I'm pretty much covered.
Only thing I truely hate are people always trying to race in broad daylight and wasting my gas and time. Wait for the track or saturday nights man
