Not to jack the thread in a new direction, but you just caught my interest. Are subpar gauges a common thing for GMs/fbodies?

O ive seen that one on my way to help my parents out with some stuff on the weekends. u need to try and get that black one or the vette. that green one has been there for awhile and probly for good reason.
The guy actually had 2 green ones at one time.
Went by there today and the black one is gone. Looked in the window of the bg chameleon one and noticed oil pressure guage was right under 20. Could the guage just possibly be bad? I would figure everything would be at 0 with the car parked. Maybe the car just isn't selling because of the color? I like this car but don't wanna end up with a POS.
just take it to get checked by a shop of ur choice, spend alittle money on it 2 b sure. it can save u big bucks or put ur mind at ease
The left front and right rear wheels are different from the other two. they look like the ones from a formula...at least it looks like they are different in the pictures.
Yeah the wheels are the same way on the other side of the car too. Wonder WTF is up with that?
Every Fbody I've driven or ridden in has always had some gauge that doesn't read well. Coolant is a common one. My volt gauge isn't all that reliable. I have put a meter on the battery and checked against the gause and it was off the gauge looked low but the battery was at full. Some have bad sensors for oil and coolant not just the gauge itself. Autometer gauges and sending units are usually much more accurate. I plan to install some later when I mod the car some more to keep tract of trans. temp. as well as accurate oil readings.
Check the rear axle also. I had a friend lose it in the rain and trash 2 CCW's and the real axle when he slammed a curb sideways. May have done that or trashed 2 on one side and got those and just put them both on the rear so it looked more normal which is odd since you can pickup those rims from Wheels USA or something like that they fix bent wheels and resell them.
where is this lot?...he has lots of f bods
You don't wana get a car that someone has ran low pressure in it's entire life. Steer clear man. Not a good sign

When I used to live in southwest, FL you would see Fbodys driving around but not as many on dealer lot I think most people that had them kept them and the few that came up for sale were usually private party cars with low miles in like new condition and were never cheap. Once in a while you could find a clean low mileage fbody at a big dealer with low mileage. The nicest one I test drove was a Firehawk someone traded on a CTS V. I wish I could have gotten it but the prices were alot higher then at it only had 27k on it. Although if you went to the Miami area 5.0's were a dime a dozen and you could get a mint condition LX for $3 or $4k. My 5.0 Lx Vert was only $5k and had 60,000 on it when I got it so it allowed me to keep my TA from running up mileage.
