installed slp air lid

i had this problem when my MAF went and had to replace it, i got a heat gun and heated the lid for a few seconds and it came right off.

there tricky, u might have to play with it a little to get it to seal but they will seal

all i have is a hairdryer, i tried for about an hour trying to get it off. but i'll just deal with it when i have to in the future ........ . :ughlaugh:

Taking mine off I needed another person to help. It was a bitch but we got it off. I've heard of guys putting it into the oven at 125 for a few mins to warm it up. Not sure if I'd try it. Maybe if nothing else worked. :dunno:

Mine doesn't seal well at all. I blew smoke over the lid and could see it getting sucked in the back of the lid. I bought thicker foam adhesive weatherstripping and sealed it up better...
