Negative. The exact same driver driving both those cars completely stock, the 5th gen will be almost a half second faster in the 1/4. The M6 2010 has hit as low as 12.9 completely stock, but most peg it at a solid consistent 13.0. I haven't heard of a 4th gen hitting those numbers bone stock... ever.
I'd take a modded LS1 over the 5th gen too.
Put some solid motor mounts in the 5th gen, full exhaust with a cutout, and i bet you'll feel the power then....
throw your 4th gen into a corner about 35-40, slide it around and punch the throttle,
5th gen at 30-35 will push/slide right though corner, way too heavy in frt.
5th gen geared too tall in rear for economy.:suicide:
I just drove my dads on a curvy road and i was surprised it was so much smoother and turned so much better then my 4th gen
Didn't feel faster, but what do I know as I never go over 3 grand in mine.
well a friend of mind have one, a l99 auto with boltons and a tune he running 12.55 at 111. he beats me easy i have a 99 t/a with boltons and i am running 12.7 at 106. they are fast with mods.
I cant wait to mod my dads its going to be awsome
a lil N2O would prob be a big help to attaining 11s lol
With the right tune and a couple extra mods u could reach 11s for around $1500 that includes a $600 NOS kit
I think if you strip the weight outta the car you could easily get a stock low 12s
