ok body shop buddy called me just now & said the adjuster just left and said ( its over johhny !!! ).so just waiting for him to call me with a dollar amount.then i will see what they want for me to buy it back.

If you do get a good buy back make sure to remember if you repair the car it will most likely have a rebuilt title and you wont be able to sell it for what a clean title ws6 is worth. IMO if i were you and your son i would take the tranny and ls1 out and put it in a better lighter car. A 240sx or rx7 with that engine is a high 11 low 12 second car with a bolt on ls1. It would be a good father son project and a badass ride.

ya already got a father son project weve been working on for a few years,84 k10 truck i have over 30 grand into.if i can buy my ws6 back i will just part it out.i just put the
4l60e in it less then a thousand miles ago,it cost me $1350.00 with me doin it.anyways i wish the friggin ins company would call me already with an amount,im like a kid at christmas waiting for santa !:nana:

ok ins co called today they will pay me $ 9775.00, not bad i guess considering ive got $ 6500.00 in it. heres the thing though the only way i can buy it back is go thru the salvage auction.first i gotta pay $ 200.00 to register then i can try and bid on it at auction time.

Thats shitty, when I got hit on my bike they offered me a buy back through them 2 hours after they stopped to look at the bike no dealer auction a straight 2300 bucks.

Yea that is crazy i just bought mine back from the insurance and all the lady said was "We'll give you this much if we keep it and this much if you keep it" then i said "ill keep it" and she said "do you want mew to mail you the check or you'll pick it up?" and i said "ill pick it up!"

I'm getting my info together to put my 98 WS6 up for sale and it needs a few things, like- antenna mast, a seat belt guide(right side), is it better to try and find them new OR is it best(cheaper) to buy from someone parting one out?

The damage is the majority of the car's value, really? Looks like about $5000 to me. How many miles are on it? It seems a waste to junk a good-looking vehicle.

I replaced the mast in my power antenna this spring. $80 from the dealer. Difficulty = medium, getting broken nylon out of the spool can be kinda tricky. Dealer wanted like $300 for the whole assembly! :eeek:

A guy down my street had a lt1 firehawk and saw my 96 formula had a broken antenna. So he walked down to my house and gave me an extra antenna he had in his garage. It was badass
