That is usually an idication of a frost comming or sub freezing air. I've seen this about 1000 times in my life. Nothing really strange about it @ all. Common..:coffee: Just have to look up more often in the winter time..:coffee:

we dont get it much here in tx cause its never cold/clear enough at the same time

it was much nicer in person, i went out and saw it and thought it was pretty neat. dont feel as weird for thinking it was cool now haha

It looked exactly like how my camera showed it as I posted on page 1 of this thread for me.

Maybe all of you have a different moon where you live :lol:

yes, that would make sense, as ours is the 3rd moon of Endor :dot:

yeah i've always heard when you see a ring around the moon, you should expect some sort of snow within a few days or so.

I saw this moon too in Maryland. And you may be right... our area is expecting the first mearsurable snow of the year on Saturday.
