I almost bought an S550 until I found out a headlamp bulb alone was $150 my cost. Retail on it was $300. Not that my volvo is much better......
Also seeing them in the body shop not much on them can be repaired cause they have aluminum fenders, doors, quarters to shave some weight...... Basically just replace the parts which isn't cheap ;)
S-Class mercedes are for rich people that can afford a headlight lol Hell they sticker at like 80K+ an amg version is a 100k car. Even used I wouldnt even think about buying that car unless I was a rich fuck
look at the CL65's although I think the new one is the CL63. those cars sticker close to 200k but look at one that's more than 3 years old and you start seeing prices that nearly anyone can start looking. once they get close to 10 forget it they are just another used car. yet all the replacement parts are priced in line with the original sticker price of close to 200k. I thought about getting a 1999 CL 600, the last year before they changed the body style but backed off of the idea. Those cars still look nice but I think I was much happier driving my Mark VIII for 6 years and spending very little on maintenance vs spending a lot more on a CL then a LOT LOT more on maintenance.
