Joe Montana is a great QB but think about it his only GREAT moment was in the Super Bowl with the 49ers. Joe is good but I don't think he is the best. Before its all said and done Peyton will have all the records that Favre has now and it won't take him 50 years to do it like Favre has even though at almost 40 he is better than 85% of the QB's in the league his TD pass against the 49ers last week was one of the best I have ever seen. On a side note there is one I'll throw out.........TONY ROMO
lol no not really only because I am watchin the game right now. So if we have this thread how soon till there is a best RB thread?
Joe Theismann
FTW
tom brady!!
 Archie Manning is on the list, but Sammy Baugh isn't??
I understand it's an un-answerable question, and it's just an opinion - but how is Archie Manning even on the list??
I went with Joe Montana -
No one better under pressure, and the already mentioned credentials as well - it didn't hurt that he was coached by 'possibly' the best coach of all time as well.
Overall, quarterbacks are judged on winning - no one did it more in the SuperBowl than Joe, period.
never thought of him as much of a clutch type of QB he was too calculated and emotionless IMO. He is in my top three though. I like the guys who can get their team around them and drive down the field no matter what the defence throws at them. Jerry Rice did wonders for both QBs tho. A great QB is nothing with out a reciever.
What nobody has put into perspective is the talent of players around the QB. Right now Peyton is showing his skill minus alot of talent he USE to have. Montana always had great recievers and such. Plus every one of Montana's records are going to be broke or have been broke by Peyton already. Superbowl record might stand just because of the way the NFL is now a days. And under pressure, I'll take Peyton. He has shown he is just as good if not better in that aspect. But opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink :lmao:
Theres a bunch of QB's i think are really close or even with each other. But to definitively pick one, I'm going with Montana. Calm as hell under pressure, apparently during a Super Bowl he is going to the huddle and happened to look in the stands and goes " Hey is that John Candy?". Yeah that doesnt define someone as the greatest ever, but to be in such a big game and be that calm is pretty amazing.
As good as Marinos stats were, I could never pick him having not won a Super Bowl.
Not Romo. That's for sure.
My vote belongs to Staubach <3
But I also like Aikman, not cuz I know him.
AND I've always liked P. Manning.
Eli is just his retarded looking brother
why do people hate on Eli so bad? I dont get it.
