thats pretty big for a DD. or is it not a DD? either way from texas speed you can order a custom grind. so if you want you can stick with the same specs. texas speed also has a line of cams that they have put together. you may want to check into those. what is your application?
car has 90k miles.....was dd now shes a garage queen....plan on driving 800-1000 miles a year... i was told it was a mild cam?? i dont want anything over the top ....all i have is FAST intake & Hooker LT...cams my last power add mod.
what do you mean by too much for a dd?
That is a high lift cam, but fairly mild in terms of some of the larger cam apps.
Personally, I would go for a 228R from TSP on a 114 if she is a daily driver.
Just about all shops use COMP blanks for their grinds. The cams I have gotten from shops have been in COMP boxes. :)
that once nice idle with the stock cam turns into a beast. so with a bigger cam your gas mileage will drop alittle, if you have a stick in traffic......it sucks lol. more or less its just drivability. now i drove it like that for a long time. but thinking back i would have much rather waited untill i had a second car like i do now. although i still drive my SS just about every day. i just cant take my own advice. Here is my car before the new motor.

I like the mid-range cams for street cars. Stuff in the 228 to 234 duration range, right around .590" to .600" lift, and on a 113 or 114 LSA.[/QUOTE]
that would be little bit milder cam from what i have on order (227/235 .614/.621 113LSA), right?
Here is a youtube of 40000hp.
