I thought that the GB lions game was gonna be the game to watch. But, no, just another ass whipping by the Pack. And I agree, where's the OP?
You know, the Pack's record is easy to remember. They are UNDEFEATED!
the packers are set up to be the next new england patriots......perfect during the regular season only to get beat by a lesser team in the SB
it would be a huge upset if any team from the AFC beat the Pack.....just don't see it happening. That record is in real jeopardy this year..... shit happens and the NFL is the NFL but the pack this year is probably one of the best teams I've seen in a long ass time. The 9ers back when the west coast offense came out is probably the only other team that I remember that was as dominant. Back then we had the 9ers in our division and I hated those motherfuckers.....some of that hatred still carries over to today. It was a guaranteed 2 losses a year for a decade. I just hope the Saints make it through to play GB....has potential to be the best game of the season including the superbowl if it's not -147 fucking degrees which you know it will be.
This worries me as well. The team has a lot of holes. Special teams is weak a lot of the time, our secondary is weak. We seem to have trouble running the ball and stopping the run some of the time. But we always overcome our weaknesses, I just hope we continue to.
I was more of a Montana/Rice fan......I know Steve was good too but he's always gonna be the "little brother" in my mind. Montana was the man although Bill Walsh probably deserves all the credit. Ronnie Lott was the guy I always liked to watch.....machine. I hated playing that frigin team but damn were they good.
They were loaded on both sides of the football. Garrison Hearst was a beast, Steve Young, Jerry Rice, John Taylor, JJ Stokes, Terrell Owens (keep in mind, mid 90's was my 49er era) were all fantastic. Primetime Neon Dieon Sanders, Merton Hanks, Ken Norton Jr., Dana Stubblefield, Bill Romanowski....
They were a fun team to watch. How could you not love the 49ers.
9ers are my boys..... through wins and losses.....
Dare I say Lions?
How dare you
Very cool :D
:lick: Yep I do
Now I just gotta wait for my season tickets, its a 22 year wait and the renewal rate for season tickets is 99.6%. The tickets can be left to family members in a will if the original owner passes. Therfore I have to hope enough packers fans die whose family members either do not exsist or just don't care about GB football.
No I said I was part owner because you can buy limited stock in the team. They have done this once in the 30s and once again in the Brett Favre era. I didn't buy mine though my grandpa left me it in his will. Correction I guess this is the 5th time tehy have offered the stock.
I have only been waiting 4 years. I do sometimes get to use the box my work has seats in. I would prefer not to be in the box though.
Its 250 dollars a share, they do not have any resale value. They are worth nothing really. But it is a big reason why GB is still fan owned and probably a big reason why the team is still in a small town like Green Bay.
I'd like to share my opinion on Suh....remember as a Packer fan I may be biased based on his recent actions. I think Suh is a dirty player, a liar, and a douche bag. All it takes is a little research on his history and you'll find out he's not right. Even back to college, he couldn't get along with his own teammates and pissed them off. He's made more then a few dirty, DIRTY plays that I just can't believe. I've seen replays of what looks like he's is literally trying to twist the head off of a quarterback(delome, and I think there is another one).
I get the argument that you guys want to see an old school aggressive, mean, nasty, and emotional player, but I'm just not buying it when it comes to Suh.
I agree! Hard hits are one thing, attacking someone after the whistle has been blown is another.
I agree. But this is the first time I think he got what he deserved. Maybe 1 head smash and walk away, but 2 or 3 then "trying to regain his balance" is just stupid. Stupid for lying about too. If he repeatedly was trying to rip peoples heads off, I would agree with cutlass, but every situation was different. Some shouldn't have even been called penalties, for example, the Cutler and Barber call. He, like most of the Lions, are really starting to show their youth.
I think the biggest problem is people haven't seen a player in professional sports give 150% like Suh does. I think that extra he gives takes him over and he doesn't know when to stop. Combine that with his strength/speed and you can get some scary results when he doesn't control himself. He has the potential be one of the greatest DE the league has ever seen, he just needs to stop the stupid crap like this.
I don't want to see him slow down or back off, I just want him to focus his energy into the play that happens between the whistles.
all Heisman candidates are douches.... simple history....
he'll be alright....he just needs to learn that football is surrounded by a bunch of pussies these days and start playing more like a girl. Dick Butkus, who is arguably the greatest defensive player of all time, used to bite people, spit on people, and intentionally step on their hands. People forget that.
Well we all know how the media works. Look what happened to T.O. Suh is a hot item and if he picks his ass, you're going to hear about it.
Players in the past never got that kind of attention from the media if they threw 6 TDs...let alone broke some fingers.
And I haven't seen that kind of play out of him.....yet.
He was a great athlete  Seems more like a punk ass bitch being a thug boy. I don't expect thugs to make millions to play a game, that should be for real athletes.
PS: Spitting on people can be charged with a Felony in some states.
EDIT: Here is a little video that I found funny

Last I checked, the military makes your ego grow more.
On another note...the title of this thread makes me chuckle.
:D
:lick:
Somehow I knew it would be you replying to this before I even opened it up
at least he's a true fan...gotta give him credit where credit is due because being a Detroit fan is a lot like being a Saints fan back in the 80's/90's or being a current Cowboys fan...
except detroit is a really really really shitty city
Oh what ever!!!! Just because I'm bitching at everything JJ does doesn't mean I've quit on them. It's because I care that I'm so pissed off on how shitty they play for the pay they all get.
If I was JJ I'd tell em all they get leauge min till they start making it to the playoffs otherwise they've not earn it. See how motivated they'll be.
cleveland has johnny football though
so....how 'bout them Lions?

I think they lost today. I can check the score and post it up...
I just checked, it didn't end well for the best team in the league. Musta been the officiating.
Speaking of the supposedly best team in the league, they got beat too.
well that was short lived
This is a old thread........why ya'll bringing up old stuff?
:chuckles:
