i cleaned it up real nice today! no wax though, too humid
i painted the trans am on the doors red today the car is black
Took it out for the first real trip since it's been out of storage. Had to get emissions done on it and renew the plates. Good thing it passed!
Woke it from hibernation slumber and fed it some premium. Then burned a 1/4 of it up.
The same thing I go every day..... Try to take over..... hmmm... no thats not it....
Oh yeah, took the T-tops off and cruised up the coast. :)
not today but last weekend i took it on a long drive to buy a black stratocaster. Then I drove to Jose Tejas which was hottie central.... a 2010 Challenger RT parked next to me... we were both right out front. Had an amazing dinner there. Went back to my friends apartment and set up and played my new toy for a while.... Put it away the next day. good weekend.
Not a damn thing, can't even wash it with all the damn pollen in the air.:(

went to auto zone to pick up my battery, but they said it was bad, idky because just 3 weeks ago the darn thing was fine LoL! I started the car up & let it run for like 30 minutes the car has been in storage for the last couple of months I really wanted to drive it today because today its so beautiful & what makes it even worst is that Im seeing so many ppl with their ttops off, sunroofs open & tops down, hopefully next week the weather will be beautiful
to make things worst i went to advance to get a new spark plug for my lawnmower(i was in the monte)and a dude in a black ws6 had to park right beside me,car was clean,t-tops out,hot blonde in pass seat, dude was getting some black magic for his tires, talked to him for a minute,he got that ws6 at the auto auction for $7500......a-hole i didn't have to know that.lol.it was stock though,if i had been in the ceta i would have let him hear the long tubes, ory, and magnaflow to piss him off
Drove around Saturday with the t-tops off, it was above 70, had em off for a bit today too. Can't wait for warmer weather..
smoked a C5!! =o) felt good to drive it again... it's been in storage since dec...
Mine sat in front of the house today.... needs a good detailing. in the fall someone backed into it and i have scuffs on the front bumper... ugh.... I couldn't bring myself to get up and do anything productive today. so it sat out in the sun enjoying the first day of spring. i'll put it back in the garage tomorrow.
looked at it sitting on jack stands where its been sitting for the last couple of weeks. thought about finishing pulling the K member and doing my oil pan gasket. then decided i didnt feel like rolling around on the ground.
drove to work drove home, then looked at my logs from this week end and doing more tuning now lol
ugh.... drivers side parking lamp out again. sigh....
I blew it the fuck up.
drove it to work with the t tops off...put new front brakes on it yesterday...and last night i tinted the front corner markers...gonna prolly tint the windows thurs. afternoon...
Hey LSCyaL8R,just ordered new marker light sockets due to mine filling up with water, the sockets get rusted out.My driver`s side I couldn`t get the bulb to fit thats how bad it is.
Hooked up jumper cables to her to get the Avy going
Received my new SFI approved flexplate.
Did you find the source of the water? On mine, the top of the DRL/turn signal housing had some melted areas. I sealed it with some RTV gasket maker, put a new socket it, and haven't had any problems since. Most people think the water gets in from cracks on the front of the housing, but a lot have the melting issue.
Hopefully my dynomat an front marker light sockets will arrive today.
Yahooooo my marker light sockets are in...guess what i`ll be installing :hmm:
did nothing with the car. but i did however order HPT Pro! so its related to the car.
Washed her, then cruised around with the kid and took some pics.
shook my head at all the pollen on the ceta, the roof now matches the body, lol
looked under the back seats for build sheet. (Met a guy today with a 2000 and he had bleeding sail. And he gave me the idea to look.) No luck, pennies, and lego guys.
Ordered my tunnel brace mounted torque arm with driveshaft loop from UMI.
wishing it would be out of the shop:ahh:
nothing, but I found out my battery was good, despite what those jerks at auto zone told me tommorow,I will take my battery out my cousins cavalier & put it in my T/A so I can finally get a chance to drive it,I havent drove the thing in about 6+months LoL!
Thought about a new tune to install now that I have a good battery. Not sure if I'll get any gains .... but, I think I should be able to get her to idle a little better. Not that she is really bad just that I think I can improve it some.:bravo:
Oh, and visualized me winning at the track in her. ;-)
Woke up with the hopes of working on her outside today, looked out the window to see a inch of snow.I want this friggen winter to be over with.Last week had a day that reached 70.....now snow:wtf:
that sucks. i just looked at mine to day and puts jeffs old 10bolt in a guy i knows car lol
Worked on those damn DRL's for the past 2 days .. read the thread on "saga of the DRL's. Peaked in at it today in garage while it rained all day - glad my wife was off... used her Envoy to run around in since mine is All detailed up!:D
installed heat sleeve on second plug wire from the front on the pass side because it is touching a tube coming off the header and hosed all the damn pollen off
Pulled it out of storage after installing a battery i didnt drive it though, but i did manage to clean it up,maybe i'll drive it this sunday if the weather is good
I tinted the windows on it yesterday and then sprayed it off
Installed dynomat on passenger door along with a new vapor barrier.Making that friggen vapor barrier to forever lol.http://i844.photobucket.com/albums/a...6/table039.jpg
Good job on that. ^^^

Somebody should start a thread "What is wrong with your Trans Am Today?"
Messed with friggin' DRL's again today. Order over-sized gaskets for the sockets from AutoTrix. OMG ,, what a tight fit - took 2 hands pushing and twisting with all I had to get them to lock in. Determined to get them damn things to work right. There is an 8 page thread on that whole topic.
Broken seat belt guide... can't find the right color... just changing both to match....
Broken DRL bulb.... again.... might need a socket
Broken Passenger side headlight gear... gonna get the brass gears and do that thing
Kinked air line on my drag bags... can't fill the passenger side bag.... the most important one
Still need to clean up all the wires from the stereo install
Leaking air from the rear passenger wheel. gonna have to have it reseated.
Car is filthy... needs a serious detailing
T-tops leaking
need to bleed the clutch... bit of mush up top.
It's due for an oil change
should change the rear end fluid also. oh yeah... that's leaking too.
I have a busy spring ahead of me... ugh
Took out the k&n filter, put in a a new ac delco, change the oil, cleaned the maf sensor, my SES light went off so I'm hoping it stays off, not likely tho because I unplugged the battery. And cleaned my headers and tranny =)
let my dad wash & wax it,now hes driving it around the city,at first he said it was too fast & sits too low to the ground, now he cant stop driving it LoL! u know u have the right car when everybody LOVES your car T/As rock!
I think I got a pretty good handle on those DRL's now,,,, time will tell. Now I have a pretty loud speak coming from the right front suspension , very annoying!!! Can't seem to pin point it. Anybody else have a similar issue??? Doesn't winter know its supposed to be gone????
Finally finished fixing my driver`s side window regulator, dreaded doing it for weeks....what a weight off my shoulders!!!!
Noticed my driver`s seat control wires are arching out against the seat frame..........this will be fun.Has anyone seen a post on how to remove the panel around the seat controls? Hope I don`t have to take the seat out.
Changed oil/filter
changed fuel filter
put on slp lid
put on magnaflow catback
put on skip shift
descreened MAF
Gave her a bath after
Hooked the Battery Tender back up to her.
both DRL sockets are shot... going to need all new housings and sockets.... ugh.
On the bright side I met an ex SLP employee who thinks he may have built my car.... It was a nearly religious experience. He told me where I'd find his signature if it were one of his. now i gotta go look.
^^^Wow $900 for only one window regulator? What's it made out of, unobtainium?
Where I work $900 would still be real high for both.
$900 is high, hope he detailed your car too

Took her to school today... Older man (mid 30's) revved at me in his Moostang with the usual 40 series Flowmaster with dumps and a Roush bodykit, I revved back then we get to the next light and he never turns to look at me... :wtf:
^^^Maybe it was a "Howdy, nice car" rev.
I drove Too Fast to work yesterday, felt bad bc she needs a wash.
Started mine up for the first time since October?? I think....
Finished wiring in my express driver`s door kit. With A BRAND new motor it would barely go up,now not a problem.:approved:
Hey Jeff, howz it goin'?. Just my .02, I'm pretty sure i have a sticker on the inside of my trunk lid that sure looks like a build sheet. I'll have to wait until I uncover it again to check, but I'll let you know either way. I don't really need a build sheet since I have every scrap of paper from when I ordered the car new in '02; dealer order forms, tags, etc.
Bought two new DRL assemblies and two new DRL sockets.... and two anodized aluminum headlight motor repair kits.... next on the list... new drivers side seat belt and some touch up paint.
I need to take a peek in mine. The guy I met claims that some of the SLP guys would sign each of the cars they built. He told me he used to sign them on the transmission tunnel just behind the center console. Gotta lift that rug up and see if i find a nice surprise. Pics would of course follow if it's there.
Now that I've taken care of ordering most of the general maintenance parts i need.... the mod bug is hitting me again.... One part is thinking LT's.... another is thinking K member and A arms. ugh.....
^^ Both. :)
took out the back pannels in the rear and put some sound damper mat on them.. getting ready to install the new line of autotek 6x9s.. max out at 1000 watts.. no its not a misprint.. 1000 watt 6x9s.. wow
now try running 1000 watts through them. People love to tout impressive specs. I had a volfenhag competition sub rated for WELL over 1000 watts. I blew it within a couple of months with an 800watt max amp.
I had a 2000+ watt rated Pioneer sub paired with a pioneer amp that pumped 1200 watts RMS at 2 ohms. blew it. now i'm running an identical sub at 4 ohms and about 800 watts RMS on the same amp. Pounds like a champ.
If you pay attention to any number on the box it should be the RMS rating. Try not to run more through it than that. Exceeding the RMS rating is FAR worse than exceeding the max peak from time to time. as RMS power is a constant load vs MAX which is an instantaneous peak.
EDIT: By people I don't mean you... sorry bout how i phrased that. I mean the manufacturers... the damn dirty manufacturers and their always inflated claims!!!!
EDIT 2: I have Pioneer components that are only rated at (I think) 35 Watts RMS. I have an INSANE PRS-A900 amp powering them and despite the low power rating they can and will cause hearing loss LOL
I know nothing at all about sound systems.Do they make a radio with navigation built in?
pulled my powersteering pump off.
shocks and springs are in now just need to get someone to install these babies
Finished aligning the driver`s door......what a S.O.B.I should of painted the door strikers off the car instead on the car.If I wanted I could off used the striker to adjust but I take a chance off peel the clear off,or even paint.:suicide:
Too Fast is gettin' a bath today, way overdue. Might post a picture in the LSx picture game thread.
drove her back from florida, tcs off and abs inop lights came on 3 miles from the house, damnit.i guess it get to spend more money on it.
Well, I didn't do it today, but I have had a couple things added to the CETA over the past few weeks.
-I got a personalized plate that says: STRYPER (loved the band since I was 10 and it fits the yellow/black theme with the T/A)
-Installed Magnaflow catback exhaust 16723 with Quad tips
-Went to a concert in Houston and had all the original band members of Stryper sign my air lid.

As for today, I had to remove the battery(1 year old) and have it charged. I then had the battery and alternator checked to make sure the alternator was doing its job and it checked out okay, so hopefully the problem I was having starting the car will go away.
installed a cut out on saturday and now I can't seem to close it ;) also brought her to school today
Fixed the passenger seat belt guide. Installed the new DRL housings and sockets. greased my roto joints.
The DRL housings were easy but the cheap soft ass screws used by GM snapped off on the inner hole... both housings!!!! so i mounted them with just the one for now. soft metal soft plastic tight fit.... didn't feel like fiddling with anything in the dark but i think they might shake a bit without the two holding them in place. Can't believe it happened on both of em.... ugh.
Pulled the fuses for my headlights. I could have gone for the wink look but that's just weird. I'll leave em like that till i get a chance to pull the motors and install the aluminum gears I have sitting at home.
Watched coolant leak out of it
Gonna drive her today!
First oil change since the rebuild, and adjusted the exhaust that was hanging low. Going for an alignment and emissions next week:xfingers:
I did this on the way to work (just without a video filming) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0Ederey7TE[/ame]
Put Trans Am decals on my FRC's. I didn't do the best job filling in and painting them so these decals will help distract from that fact. Hopefully...
http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/e...f/TAENGBAY.jpg
changed my bad tranny mount (technically yesterday)
http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m...r/IMG_0179.jpg
I've got an oil change coming up. I'm gonna pull the DMH cutout off at the same time and see if I can fix the rattling soming from it.
deleted secondary air system.much cleaner under the hood!

Hopefully someone can find it. I used a write up to do mine but I'm out of town so won't have good access until Saturday. It's easy to do and cleans up your engine bay.
I put my chrome power steering cover on. It arrived today.
:yup: Relocating Cruise Module
