Here's a more recent shot of my 70 SS396 L78 Camaro. This is a 15-20 year old paint job too!

I have a 1969 Camaro which was originally a standard coupe (I believe with a 327) and I recently pulled the 260hp GM Goodwrench 350 and replaced it with a moderately built 396. These photos are a little old but they are the best I have at the moment. I recently added a standard height cowl induction hood and it has yet to be painted...but will be before too much longer.

The engine photo was taken in April a couple weeks before break in (notice no distributor) but it gives you an idea of how it looks.

I've got a 1964 Chevelle that will one day (hopefully within the next 2 years) have a L92 engine and a T56 behind it. It is currently undergoing a frame off.....Just painted the frame and started putting new parts on. I'm upgrading to disc in the front with 2" drop spindles, posi and 4.11s in the rear (posi is stock out of a '67 camaro), and Hotchkis ARBs for front and rear. I will have pics of what I hope to be a complete rolling chassis in about 2 weeks if anyone is interested....

RichieB - Very nice 69, and that 396 looks great in it!
Waybad - Nice 70, and a 180 SPEEDO!!!!!! DAMN!
69 Kid - Looking good, keep taking the pics, and look forward to you having a great 1st run!
I'd love to see some under construction pics of your Chevelle.......
Give me a couple of weeks and I'll post pics of the finished chassis (at least that's my goal). I have it painted but am waiting on some of my parts to come in so I can finish the suspension. The last week in August I'm taking vacation to do all the mock up mounting (using a Dyno trashed LS2 and a T56 that I am currently trying to purchase) and plan on taking some pics of that, I'll post those, too.
JL8Jeff and WAYBAD, I love the '70 Camaro. That's always been one of my favorite body styles. Very fine Hot-rods.
I still own the 66 chevelle convertible & 1966 el camino. The others were sold or traded to upgrade or I just needed the money. The 1984 el camino was powered by 1987 buick gn motor, the 71 cutlass was powered by rocket 350.
well its no chevelle but its as close as i can get
71 buick skylark three on the tree
My 86 SS, 355 that needs more power, 400 hp isn't enough even with a 150 shot of nitro. I'm working on saving enough for the six speed swap and an ls2 or like another guy on our board, an ls7...I'll find something I like soon enough. I've also got a 73 roadrunner, 383 wedge motor, 3 speed auto, plum crazy purple, but I ain't got pics because after restoring it 10 years ago, its been sitting in storage. Family owns a junkyard, so if you can htink of it, we've tried it, fiero's with 350's, mg with a 327, ford granada with a 454...yeah we're a wild bunch...but enough talk, for more pics go here: http://s35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...%20Carlo%20SS/
