UGH! So don't like working on Sat :brick:
Looks like my toothache is actually a sinus infection, causing my tooth to hurt. Looks like I'm off to pick up some meds.....I hate sinuses.......
remove them.
If only.....
I so do not want to pull the head off the bird. Its so hot. Blah.
Sleep today, pull head tonight after sun goes down?
My friend had a hell of a time with his Dart yesterday morning. He was supposed to leave early in the morning for Carlisle after he arrived home from work. Went out to the garage and found a puddle of coolant on the floor. Brand new Edelbrock water pump bit it and dumped. Replaced the water pump and decided to swap over to a one wire alternator he had purchased a while ago. Got everything buttoned back up and drove to the gas station to fuel up before hitting the highway. At the intersection, smoke rolled out from under the hood -- the new alternator was on fire. Needless to say, his start was delayed by a full day and he decided to go to a different show, so we also bagged the Chrsyler fest and went to State College instead.
I just got more of the story. He ended up meeting up with a guy on his way to a Street Rodder cruise (or something like that) at a gas station in Williamsport and is now in Pottstown, PA on that cruise. The cruise heads over into NJ and NY and then ends at the Syracuse Nationals. So far, the Dart appears to be running good.
Good to hear.
Damn it....
Damn it again.....
When is he taking the girl to the track? I want to see it run with the new set up and tires. :)
So what's up with the "Thanks:" and "Thanked X times in X posts" (underneath the car description)? New one on me...
Beats me.
Picking up dads 68 SS next week. 350, 4speed car, blue on blue :puke: Damn good shape though.
Anyone got a 12 bolt for a 68 they want to part with? This ones got 4.10's and they are the suck.
68 what? Could be a Camaro or Nova. These were the only small block SS back in 68. And 12 bolt's are going for a min $1k... And if a 4.10 12-bolt was the original axle then you're bucks up leaving it as is...
I have 4.10's in the 67 and I have to say that while fantastic off the line running out of gear in 600 or so feet is a bitch!
Mornin.
Looking at going at least once before Knight's party. I will be calling around when we get a date set.
I have a 10 bolt from a '69ish GTO/LeMans that was originally under the Olds with 3.90's. Needs a pinion bearing and is just taking up space in my basement. My brother in law has dibs, but so far he has not come to get it.
Last day of vacation... :( Heading up to the track in a bit to watch the nostalgia drags.
68 Camaro. It was late when I posted
This car will be a cruiser, not a racer, so a gear change is definitely gonna have to happen.
