What did you do with your Trans Am today?

I found a deal at a junkyard while I was traveling for work, so I jumped on it. My overall plan is to bring the bird up a decade. Double din dvd -done, Replace the worn interior, and dynamat everything, that will soundproof it like it should. Then, HUD. LEDs all around are already started. HIDs are coming soon. I like that rear view mirror upgrade, too. The one with temp/compass. Just need to find one with map lights as well. Embroidered head rests, and splash some red into the interior. I really like the shift knob with a button on the side. Good place to put the linelock switch if you ask me...

I thought that there were courtesy lights in the foot wells. Am I right? Where are they? I am pretty sure I have the LED bulbs sitting here. 4410-CW9

was thinking of just adding a procharger to it and leave it stock otherwise. now to come up with the $20,000 I'm short!! lol

I heard there was a year long waiting list. Looks like you would have the time to get the extra dough.

Got over half the dynamat in tonight. Should be able to finish tomorrow night and start installing my new interior. Got ahold of Grant (maybe somebody remembers him) and getting my headrests embroidered. I need to talk to him about possibly re-stitching my boots with red as well. I picked up another boot for the emergency brake handle.

Cleaned her up...every time I think about buying new wheels I polish mine and fall in love again...

Well, I got all the dyna mat in place except the doors. Those are gonna be a whole nother project. I found out that the seats I picked up are bent to shit. So, I am going to need to pull all the leather and plastic off the old and new and switch them around. Any tips? I see that you can use zip ties in place of hog rings. I am going to try that. Anything else?

hog rings and the pliers arent too expensive to buy. I'd be afraid of snapping zipties after a short while.

Looking for pistons for my build. I think I am going to have to go custom, no one seems to make +10cc pistons for a 3.905 bore and 4.125 stroke, they do for a 4.00 stroke but not 4.125. Also researching items needed to run e85 for my 14.0:1 compression ratio goal.

That or I may just go with +3cc pistons I can find and find other ways to increase my compression.
