Looks great, I just did mine couple of weeks ago with drilled and slotted rotors and stainless lines. And a BMR manual steering rack. Hope to get it aligned and tuned in next couple days:cheers:

Did my trans cooler. -6 line the whole way. There is very little clearance on the side of the trans for those fittings.
Not as interesting as you guys but thursday is a new PHB/R and some tires. As for today... Just a nice detail :). 70's all week!
Took the t-tops out for the first time this year for the drive home. Perfect weather, 75 here also. Sunny and 78 tomorrow, I'm driving my '68 Le Mans ragtop to work tomorrow, of course the top is going down on the way home!
I had a girlfriend who would ride with her top down when the weather was nice... :leghump:
New under hood look for 2012

Drove like a grandma due to the rain
Thats a great deal, i though i got a decent deal for my 2000 with 60000. I paid 12000
Drove it like a grandma to work and back.. The rain sucks
Took out my in dash tv/dvd radio out & replaced it with a regular alpine cd player,i was getting tired of the flip out tv thingy, maybe i might put it in a car i buy in the future
dont feel bad,i drive like that in the rain in mine, first T/A i had i did a full 360 after a rainy day by mistake i didnt wreck it though,my current WS6 doesnt see rain at all my cousin wrecked his first T/A in the rain so we've learned from experience & from our friends wrecking theirs in bad weather
I was looking at getting one like that, but after talking with a couple of friends that are in the car audio business they pointed out that a flip up dvd was no in my best interest for my build plans. They pointed out that with the build going for the track as well as street they know I'll have some hard launches and it will put a lot of stress on the flip screen, which over time will break it.
So I'm sticking with a regular cd player as long as my ipod can & sat radio can hook up I'm good.
Thanks Steve!!
Still have to do the brake lines, but it,s getting there.

Please excuse the dirty car
Those work.
Beat a GT500 yesterday, check out the kill stories.
Changed over the 16" snows to my 01 Vette 17/18's on the 01 Bird and did an oil change Pennzoil Plat w/long Wix.
Pulled the 99TA out of hibernation and she fired right up,took the 16" winter rims off and put the 17" C6's on.
Intalled a universal power antenna the GF got me for Christmas.
I also finally got my catch can installed.
99.5% done with the K-member swap and was able to turn the key and hear it rumble for the first time in a few weeks.
Pulled it out of the garage for the first time since December, still waiting on a throttle cable then its off to the dyno for a re-tune.

^^ That is one badass mofo right there. :yup:
Plastidiped my wheels, CETA and blacked out my marker lights. It looks pretty good. For $40 that is..
I washed my dirty birdie for the first time this year. I will wash it again and wax it later in the week as well.
Put in a strut tower brace. Have a new turn signal lens sitting on the desk. Too hot to be jacking up the car and all that today. Guess it will wait for now.
Finally woke it up from hibernation. Need to pick some oil and a filter.......
I left it in the garage to avoid the frickin 10,000+ pollen count that is blanketing Georgia this week...
Started my radiator removal by spilling a bunch of coolant all over the place. I didn't have my pan in the right spot to catch it all. Tonight hopefully I will remove the radiator and replace it. It looks like she puked on herself lol. And I need to clean up all the spillage.
Took her for a 50 mile ride and enjoyed every second of it. :)
Pulled the Strano springs off and put the stockers back on. Sold the Strano's and bought some Thermo-acoustic mat from Eastwoods and installed it from the back seat pans through the trunk area.
Three weeks till it goes under the knife....:mel:
Finished pulling the radiator out last night, wasn't too bad. I did learn how to do it better next time though. I also started my CTS-V brake swap and after mounting the caliper found out that I need spacers and longer studs. After those are in it should be done real soon!
Made some punk in a Mustang look stupid in front of his girlfriend.
^^^Like that!!!
Today felt like a pretty productive day! I changed the oil and had to replace the drain plug because the previous owner rounded it off pretty good. Replaced the headlight motors thanks to 98TransAmWs-6! My car no longer has a lazy eye! And then finally I started wet sanding the driver side quarter panel!
Glad you got them in! On a side note, after removing my radiator and realizing there was a different way to do it without removing the air condenser, I think I am going to remove my A/C. Is there guide anywhere for that? Also for the compressor part, is there a way to vent the freon safely as I can't just take it to a shop to have it vented atm. She isn't in drive able condition atm.Quote:

You could then remove the componants.
I know it is illegal, I was just curious if there was a way to remove it without venting it, then having a shop do that for me. Well since I removed the condenser, is there any reason to put that back on just to take it back off when I get the system properly vented? Also another question, when I do remove my A/C do I have to take the dash off to do so?
Installed my 6LE gauge bezel ABS/Stainless steel combination and my AEM air fuel ratio gauge.
Wasted my tires today, new ones going on this week:

Finally got a Hypertech Hyperpac, will install it when I get home next week, I will sell the Max Energy for $200.00, any takers? I'll post my results later.
:true:
Put in the new 160 thermostat today. Replaced the cracked turn signal lamp also. Entire inside was corroded from water getting in. How the bulb never shorted out I dont know. Now the driver side looks like crap next to the new one from oxidation on the plastic. Guess ill have to fix that now.
The new PCM arrived today also from Frost. Just waiting for the rest of the exhaust and headers to show up.
Not a bad idea to use dielectric grease on the bulb sockets and wire harness connectors. It will keep corrosion at bay should things get wet again.
Yeah did that the last time I changed the bulb. Probably only thing keeping it from blowing.
I replaced both low beams and painted the plastic covers to match the car.
waxed it again, took it out for a spin around the city,i almost got tempted to race these two guys one in a black 98-02 t/a he sounded like he had a cam,and a guy in a 93-97 z28 they both revved at me to get my attention, but i never race on public streets, now if we were on the interstate...........

Those gas prices in Texas make me jealous.
I've been removing junk from the inside of my car. It's a nightmare in there.
Went 11.5@117 today at the strip. She still has more in her.
Checked all fluids and started it up,let it run a little while
Went waaaaaaaay slower than Chris at the track today. :chuckles:
Just ordered my short UMI tq arm. Hoping to go to the track apr 21 for some t&t before the first pontiac race at capitol the following weekend. wanna change shift points and add timing on race gas.
My WSQ Hood from VFN should ship out tomorrow, I can't wait to get it.
Drove it to work and then played with my buddy and his 88 GTA and left some "11's" on the county roads. Time for a couple sets of fresh tires! Spring's here!
Drove to Hershey PA last Saturday. Looked at the car today, she's filthy from all the driving. Going back home tomorrow, 560 miles across the country and 27+ MPG. I love this car, family of four still fits.
Called AAA and told them to put full coverage back on for Friday.
Checked gas mileage on the way back from Hershey. I am corrected, I averaged 28.8 MPG over 560 miles. Best ever MPG for the car, impressed me all over again! 111k on her now.
Hey cpop, that car looks beautiful.
Thanks Steve!
I ordered the ls6 VCT today hopefully it doesn't take gmpartsdirect too long to ship it out, since my intake is off already because I sold my old one and replaced it with a FAST 102. I want to start her up already! I also ordered some Teflon lined stainless steel lines to start my stainless steel hose swap, those should be in on Saturday or Monday. Yesterday I installed my new radiator, can't figure out how to get the sensor off, I might just buy a new sensor though. New hood should be here Friday, is there anything special that needs to be done to install an aftermarket hood from vfn? On their website they say to bend the tabs down on the brackets and a couple other things.
Just got in some things from the WS6store:

currently letting the oil drain. it only has about 200 miles on it but is 6 months old. definitly had some water in it from condensation.
I got butt rape from my car today. Drivers window came off the regulator during a rain storm on the way in today. Cost me $267 :cuss: The thing is I can do it just couldn't because of work and no place to park it under cover....:cuss:
Went for my daily road trip around Northern Michigan, got home early, washed, waxed and cleaned it out and went for a short cruise with my wife.
Do you know the exact name of that sensor? Isn't like the coolant level sensor something?Quote:

I think you misunderstood what I meant to say, I am replacing most of my hoses in my car with stainless steel hoses. I do also have stainless steel brake hoses to go on with my cts-v brakes but it will be hard to tell how much better the brakes feel with the stainless steel brake lines.Quote:
