Is the diablo tuner worth purchasing? Or should I go with HPTuners? How hard is the HPTuner to use if you have never done it before? And What is the cost of HPTuner? I have seen pricing anywhere from 350 to 400 on the Diablo.

I have a Predator, it's fine but limited on what you can do, and have outgrown it. IMO HPT is the way to go.
ok where's the best place to get it and how much?
Check out www.hptuners.com - some of the site sponsors probably sell them too.
pricing starts @$499 unless you can find one used...there is a learning curve & it requires you have a laptop.
HPTuners is way, way better. However, it has a higher level of difficulty, which might present a problem for some.
Having had both, I can say HPTuners all the way.
The tool itself is not that hard to use, it's all the
details of how the LS1 PCM does things, knowing
what to change for the problem at hand and the
result you want, that takes learning. The Predator
on the other hand, no amount of learning will help.
It is what it is, which is very limited indeed.
Maybe now that the LS2 Predator is out and does
all those nice things like logging and so on, I guess
all us present LS1 Predator owners will see that
often-promised upgrade. Yeah, boy.
"Bringing a knife to a gunfight" is just not the way
to go, even if it's a swell Swiss Army.
HPtuners. But if you are not familiar with the process of tuning then it will look pretty greek to you.
tuners. once you get the hang of it, its not so bad. there is also efi flashscan. im not sure which is "better" per se, but they both have they're goods and bads, but both are better than diablo and as kelly mentioned, you will need a laptop.
