Just curious: for those verts on the bottle. Where do you mount yours? Will the 860* Trunk mount work for our cars? I bought one, but I dont want to take it out of the shrink wrap and find it wont fit. TIA

I put mine in the trunk, next to the spare tire well....
Mine is in the trunk well.
860's trunk mount/spare tire mount works fine.. however I think I'm in need of a smaller bottle. The 15 pounder (scuba tank) that I have looks like it will never fit. It looks like it'd be hitting the plastic trim around the top. Time to trade down to a 10lb. Even then its gonna be a tight fit :(
I've been considering mounting mine on the floor behind my drivers seat. No one ever sits directly behind me, and I can easily open the bottle manually from there too (although I have a remote bottle opener too.)
I use the truck too much and think putting it back their might give me issues.
Any of you guys have pics of your set-up?
To those who mount theirs in the spare tire well, I'd like to ask. What do you do when you have a flat?
what size bottle will comfortably fit in the spare tire well???
None with the 860 mount. It dissapoints me because its a great product, just does not work properly for my application. I have a 15lb bottle and a 10lb bottle and couldnt use either. The 15 is way out of the question... the 10 is sooo close. I'm going to see if I can modify it some way to make it work. Im sure it works great in the coupes, but the verts have extra plastic for the top mechanism that interfere where the bottle valve sits.
I used well plugs and shimed it up about 3/4 of an inch. That took care of the clearance issues I had with the valve, and it keeps it out of the way of the plastic. It's in the way of the spare if I need to get to it, but thats what AAA is for.
I'm not using the 860 mount because I didn't want to ditch the spare, I used the standard rack from Ny-Trex and put it to the left of the spare. I just had to shim to get the valve above the carpet.
Well.. after a long struggle.. 15lb bottles have no chance in the spare area without hacking out a lot of plastic where the top is (not an option in my book).
10lb bottle works, even looks to have room for the bottle opener. The 860 mount is an awesome piece, but will not work with verts. I had to make a custom mount which I'll later seal and then cover with carpet. It is do-able, heres a few quick pictures. Dont mind the rats nest of wires, its a work in progress.

ps I dont mind about the pressure gauge facing the wrong direction, I'll have an electric one inside the car when its all said and done.
u just put mine in the rear trunk in the floor. big 15lber.
