clacking noise
I have a 2000 WS6 trans-am with 111k Miles. I just blew out the clutch and replaced it with a RAM stage 3 clutch. Soon after though I've developed a clacking coming from the rear end. It speeds up as I accelerate and slows as I decelerate. It's not constant and will go away if I drive around for a while but doesn't seem depended on the car warming up. It's driving me insane. Anyone got any help?

U-joint or bearings in the rear is my best guess.

here's another thought too. Check your exhaust and make sure the u-joint isn't hitting it. Perhaps when the exhaust was put back in it's over to the drivers side a little to far or something. Just something to check. I would definitely be checking out that u-joint first. Put the rear on stands and put it in gear where you can hear it. I wouldn't crawl under it while it's up but you should at least be able to narrow it down by just getting down there and listening.
