stroker question MPG
ok soo i have the money. thats not an issue but i lack the knowledge in this area im getting the TFH and cam and various other small diddys and stuff but wats the MPG ona 383 compared to stock bottom end?? im going to rebuild it no matter what with maybe lunati internals but i wanna know it i can keep at least 19-20mpg with a 383?:nana:

My 402 gets 19-20MPG on the highway.
248/254 cam, M6, 4.11's.

ok i was just wondering thanks alot :) i would still love others opinion on this :) but it i can ill just get a stroker kit from lunati and make a 383..so that would mean making the step from the 215cc TFH i should go with the 225?? i dunno that seems to be logical lol :):yup:

I get about 14 in town
17-19 on the highway
396ci/ 246/252 cam
4L60E 3600 stall (lock up at 55mph so in town MPG sucks) and 3.73's

I'd honestly just keep the stock cubes and do some type of forced induction if you want to keep your MPG up. I know a couple people putting over 500 rwhp and getting 24+ MPG on a LS1 block.

I got 18 -21 mpg with my 408. It sure hated those light to light races. I could watch the gauge drop. But it was worth it, lol.

do you have an M6 or an A4?
-
ok so i could possible get good mpg (resonable) if i stroked it to a 383..
now i figure that if you tune it to the max potenial that affects MPG now if you dont then you could see more mpg right in theory??
as for the why dont i boost it? im sick of boostin.. ive done the JDM scene till death do us part and to this day i mt record is a rb20, pushing 589rwhp and 450rwtq so im sick of the noise and the time it takes to do it right...pluz for like 10k i can have a all motor monster and i hurd the the sound of a V-8:nana: gets pantys wet... i dunno

trying to mod and get big numbers while being concerned about mpg = epic fail.....we have an incredible powerplant with alot of potential..you got to pay to play...nothing comes free
