lq9 or 427 block?
I can pick up a new lq9 long block6.0l/cl-4.002" from GM preformance for 700 but they allso offer a 427 l92 block with 4.068" bore short block for about 5 grand. My question is... would I be better off in the long run getting the lq9 block with thicker walls and then bore it out to a 402 and get the Rotation Assemblie for about 2200 with balancing from GM performance. Just started saving up for my "motor build" lol and would like a lil help. my goal after doin research and talkin with guys on here...i would like to hit close to 600 on motor and get in the 700-800 range with a power adder. or are these numbers on the low end? with goin with the lq9 and or 427 blocks? long blocks would come with heads allready right?!? thanks
ps
please be gentel lol

Go with the LQ9, bore it .030 over and put a four inch stroker crank and make a 408 CI.
You will have a torque monster! Plenty of people around here that have done that exact same thing. Most guys are 500 to the wheel.
This is my ultimate plan in the future seeing how I already have the LQ4 block. Those 2 blocks are the exact same.
Keep looking around here and tech sales sections. Guys are all the time selling their motors for one reason or another. Good luck.

Heres just an example of what you could be looking for. Put a different cam in this along with springs, PR's, and add a FAST 92/92 maybe.... your hauling ass.
