the base 300 horsepower 2010 Chevrolet Camaro goes from 0-60 in 6.1 seconds while the 400+ horsepower Camaro SS does it in 4.6 seconds. But for those of you who no longer judge performance by 0-60 times or quarter mile runs and look Nurburgring lap times as the new standard for performance - we’ve got some Camaro Nurburgring news for you.

According Doug Houlihan, GM’s chief engineer for global rear-wheel-drive vehicles, the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS lapped the Nurburgring in 8:20. Not bad for the Camaro who is definitely not looking to show up the Nissan GT-R or the upcoming Acura NSX.

I'll just wait until the LS7 is a little cheaper, and slap it as well as a new rear end on my SS, it will be a true 4th gen then, 4th gen car, 4th gen motor. :bravo:

8:20 not a bad time...my eyes start to water after 8 minutes....on Gt4 ....i always sit to close to the tv....always eat that last left just before the long straight away!

i love gt4, great game. but the real ring is so scary... the game doesn't reproduce all the hills, it's like a rollercoaster. and the track is really bumpy, too. and feels awfully narrow. the fastest i went was 100 mph in those semi-straights in the middle. 120 on the long straight, but thats speed limited on open track days.
