soo i just got my stock cd changer in today because the previous owner before didnt have it...but now to realize the wires to hook it up dont fit the gm changer. and theres a remote on the side of the driver seat for the changer remote that says pioneer on it..
soo im guessin there was an aftermarket cd changer in it and then taken out..SOOOO anyone know what i need to make the stock gm 12 cd changer and where i can get the hardware???
There isn't a stock wire tucked away in the truck for it? Even though it might have not come with it, the wire is supposed to be there.
well see he had an aftermarket changer in there before this...soo they might have removed it w the install..also is there some kind of remote for the stock gm changer..like how do i operate it??Quote:

No remote. Its all off the Monsoon head unit. The wire should be there. It would be a pain in the ass to remove it since it runs from the front to be back.
My cd changer wires are tied up above the driver side fender. They are pretty much where the speaker is. Pop off that back side panel and you should see them.
