that much on stock motor?
i've read where many have run 250 rwhp on a stock shortblock. mine is 250 motor rated. which is about 200 rwhp. i've run the 200 motor rated (143 rwhp) over a year now. no issues what so ever. made the car when it only had a SLP airlid go 11.97 @ 118 with stock goodyear tires.
I can see 200 or 250 with a direct port and an upgraded fuel pump. I don't see how that intake manifold flows that much gas without backfire. My luck, the first time i shot it: BOOM!
we'll see next month.
Yeah, i'd run the giggle gas to mine; no better HP gain for the price. I just want to rebuild the motor first, thing has 93k miles on it!
btw, 11.97 on stock tires? Nice run! A buddy of mine has a 98 TA with MT's on it, Borla cat-back, airlid, and bellows and a CompuCar 150 wet shot. It ran an 11.71 @119 (3.23's and auto with 3200 stall )
the kit on the black car is a compucar as well. it's the one set at 200. curently, i'm at 11.661 @ 117.67. that was with bassani tru-duals, yank py3400e and 4.10 gears. pulled a 1.709 60ft on 315/35-17 nitto DRs. had to shift into 4th about 60ft before the end of the 1/4. i think that is contributing to the low mph and sucky ET at this point. i now have 3.73 gears. we'll see what all this does next month.
