How much are these heads and engine worth........?

I took my car to pennsoil to get an oil change, and 2500 miles later completely ran out of oil. We found metal shavings on the end of the dipstick.

Anyway, I have a buddy interested in buying the engine and rebuilding it, but I don't have a clue how much it's worth. Everything on the top end seems fine.

I have a couple people interested in my ls6 heads as well. they have about 5,000 miles on them.

Anyone have any idea how much these are worth? thanks

With the LS6 heads somewhere between 3 - 4 K.

Metal shavings on the dipstick?? As long as the block is in good shape, that is the only part (aside from the heads) worth anything. Maybe $500 for the block.

The LS6 heads used aren't worth much either, but $400 or so sounds about right.
Now, I haven't priced parts like those in a few years, so they may have changed a bit.
