Hey guys, how are you? I have a good line on a new ls7 motor and was thinking about swaping the ls1 out for it. I have a 2002 Trans Am WS6 auto and was wondering how big of pain in the ass it would be? if you have a info on this please let me know!!

From what people have told me, it would be near to impossible for any reasonable amount of money. Here is my discussion on the topic. I think I started around page #4

First things first...your stock transmission will not last very long with the power of the LS7 going through it.
Second, you will need a tune.
Third, wiring harness.
Fourth, the install itself isn't easy (expensive if you pay someone).
Fifth, the LS7 in stock form makes 440RWHP with a killer powerband. There are much easier/cheaper ways to get there with the stock motor.
Sixth, the C6Z06 is what really makes the LS7 so very impressive. 3100 pound car. Unlike our 3500-3600 pound anchors.
Yeah, im sure though that most of you have seen the GMPP LS7 powered Camero or have at least heard about it and let me tell you, the bible tells you to not covet........:notworthy::worship:
IM GOING TO HELL!!!!!! I WANT IT!!!!!! I want an LS7 in my 98 TA! If i have to change the whole chassis I will.
AND if you htink about it, all the internals an LS7 has, its beggin to be turboed or S-Charged. BEGGIN!!!!!
i read somewhere the ls7 block is basically our block bored out. at least size wise. the walls are thin and even if you were to lower compression, its still not a good boost application. then again, there is a tuner company that has made a supercharged ls7 convertible vette... i think it was like 3 or 4 psi though...
